#BlogLife427 - Saturdays Arrival

It's been very up and down at the moment, things always tend to be an adventure with me, something simple and straightforward turns into some epic saga.

The first face wash I was allergic too and will bin it when I get home. The second I ordered to get to mama's before I arrived  and they just emailed to say sorry there's been an issue, I'll grant you a refund.

I was going to try the Nivea gentle face wash but that happened so as I still had Prime, I scoured for a bargain and this was before I knew Ebay wouldn't deliver, I opted to try Biore.

It's the lemon and ginseng jelly cleanser. It does smell lemony and a strange thing happened when I tried to pay.

It said promotion applied your order is free but I didn't add any codes and at first I thought maybe it went on the debit card..

Nope, then I thought it has to be the gift card balance... Nope so it was supposed to be £4.66 but Santa Amazon maybe after screwing me over with the blankie, tossed me a freebie.

I'll take it after the last stressful few days. The replacement blankie that arrived late last night is as bad as the original, takes hours to heat up and is a low low heat.

Ugh useless but at least Mama can pre warm her bed or take off the chill when she needs too so I guess that's good.

I've told her that to me it's the most useful as a giant heating pad to relieve my chronic pain so I hope she will find it aids her in that way as she says that she feels chilly constantly.

Her place lovely as it is, is definitely draughty. It's got cream patterned wallpaper, thick plush red curtains and each room is very spacious aside from the kitchen and bathroom.

I'm so jealous she has a stand in shower.... Lush!!

She has mirrors scattered and I took a good look at my face without makeup as I had packed everything away and just could not be bothered to dig it out.

Yikes the allergy which caused the excessive dryness and made me scratch scratch, really left big noticeable dark scars on my face.

Yuckity yuck. I'm trying to be religious about using the face brush often and the mask all weekend.

I hope this new Biore wash helps. I didn't realise it has those large micro bead scrubby things. Plus it is too thick for combination skin, it's smothering it.

Ughhh hate those but beggars can't be choosers and I wouldn't buy it again for that reason as that just tends to be too harsh for my skin.

Plus those things never wash off properly. Either next week or later in January I will give you an update on how my face is.

I'll just add to this post and say that my face still has marks on it. I can't tell if they are fading but it's really prominent.

The second thing that irritated me is that Mama said, Oh I'll definitely use the blankie, then after it arrived....

Hmm you know, I don't think I have any use for it. I'm pretty comfortable.

I could have gotten a frigging refund!!!! Ugh, annoying! I hated the jelly cleanser so much I ended up using it as a body scrub.

I just turned off the Nord's voicemail service by texting 150, vm off, as I couldn't see any other solution.

I don't know if EE charges to access it but I'm not keen on that feature anyway.

Amazon promised the charger and 2nd wash would arrive together, they didn't.

Then they promised the earbuds would arrive tomorrow, it's out for delivery now.

(I specified tomorrow as today I was supposed to have an in-person meeting with Dic-tator).

Yeesh I even joked with Mama, I'm surprised he hasn't texted on the 2nd, she said just wait until the 3rd, he will and she was right!

#BlogLife419 - Amazon's faulty blankie saga

Yesterday I received the heated blankie £46 that I bought from Amazon and I was so relieved and pleased that I didn't think about what I would do if it turned out to be defective.

It came around 5pmish after the live tracking coming and going. I excitedly unpacked it and switched it on.

Only one side is fleeced and it's stiffer than I would have liked but the cord is extra long.

I never sleep at night with these things on, just take a daytime nap for safety reasons.

Most have the auto switch off but you always hear horror stories about them overheating and causing fires so I'm very careful and even before I bought one, people were trying to talk me out of it.

But cold is cold and my bones cannot get warm, with the warm clothes and the heating on, I'm still frozen.

The top setting on the control is supposed to be for the temperature and the bottom one for the duration, 1-9 hours but I think it automatically turns off after 3 hours as a precaution, which is fine.

I set it to the maximum heat and timer and waited and waited and waited.

Bits of the blankie wasn't at all warm. There was slight low warmth, in certain areas but then it came off, then on, then off and so forth.

I thought I was doing something wrong so I watched an Amazon video and nope, I was correct but it was just broken.

Maybe for some reason it was stuck on the lower warmth actions but it doesn't explain why it randomly goes off after a few minutes.

If you go on Amazon's live chat, there's no option to type, just automated non helpful responses.

If you try the phone service, it's another bot. The only way to get a human was to rant on Twitter and they just fobbed me off saying return it.

I can't do that. It's too damn excruciating to hold anything, let alone a huge box, all the way to the bus stop and then walk into the market and then queue up at the Post Office......

Nope!!! I don't even want to return it, as it gives the barest minimum of removing the chill and I have been struggling in this weather to function at all.

I really just want to stay in bed and not get up but I would start to get really depressed if I did that.

When I purchase things, I expect them to work 100%. I don't expect to have problems.

My legs and hands are ice cold. Ugh I can't be bothered to stress about this anymore.

Maybe I'll win a blankie or there'll be a voucher giveaway I can enter.

The only saving grace is that I wrote a scathing review on Amazon and that will prevent some other poor soul in buying this colossal piece of crap!!!

I wonder if they will even print my unflattering review...

#BlogLife250 - Buzz off!

I'm very tired today, stress manifests itself in me by exacerbating my insomnia. I keep waking up and having difficulty going back to sleep.

It's been 6am/7am wake ups and maybe actually falling asleep about 1am. It's not enough rest for my weary bones that are on constant strain.

Amazon gave me insult to injury this morning as I got an email stating Now you've received your order, how was it?? I know it's automated but the wound is still fresh.

Customer service keeps telling me they will sort it out and nothing has been resolved. I took to Twitter for a feelgood rant and yet again they reached out and will "investigate."

Pffft yes, you've been saying the same arbitrary thing all weekend. Do it already and stop talking nonsense, with your fake sympathy and false concern.

At this point I want to use another retailer but it seems like a waste of money. I have credit in Amazon which needs to be used up.

Ebay is tempting but no warranty with them, I don't think. I don't usually have any issues with Amazon or their customer service but I guess it takes one bad experience to tarnish the good.

I can't help but think if I was a Prime member I would have been treated a lot differently. Paid memberships seem to signify quality service.

Evidently the regular type does not. Wait, wait and keep holding on, while we may or may not get back to you.

No I'm sick of waiting. I ordered the earbuds since Wednesday and I know it doesn't seem like much time has passed but when you've constantly been told it will arrive in due course..

First Saturday, (damaged on it's way to me) and nobody thought to inform me or send a damn replacement.

Then Sunday, I'll personally make sure it is sent and follow up on the case. Rest assured. *Rolls eyes* Nothing was said to me at all, until I chased it up myself.

Then Monday (yesterday), Oh so sorry Madam, just be patient, even though it doesn't say Out for Delivery, it'll probably be with you shortly, uh huh, fret not!

Then when I called back in the evening, oh we didn't send it out, so sorry! No mention of the refund or free replacement costs but oh just wait some more.

Another 24hrs needed to pause for us fuckwits at Amazon! I'm sorry but the ranting will continue until it gets resolved. I have to vent otherwise I'll go crazier.

I don't know if the main fault lies between the seller or Amazon but it's been handled atrociously either way.

They are expecting me to sit quietly and not bother them until they deign to get in touch. Pfft, yea right.

As soon as my working headphones are charged, I'll be calling them up to see what is happening.

I'm trying to avoid stress in my life as it is physically and emotionally draining.

I really don't see what the hold up has been for all this time? Why isn't there any initiative??

Is it solely because Amazon doesn't want to take responsibility and admit blame?

Part of me wants to wash my hands of it all, given that there hasn't been a single satisfactory ending.

The other part is too pissed. I don't want a refund, I want a replacement, although one representative claimed I could have both.

Hah. I don't think that is likely. There is one last recourse, reaching out to the seller directly, maybe that will light a fire under somebody's ass?

Either way I just want some working headphones, earbuds, whatever asap!!

The title mainly referred to the fly that despite openings all around, won't leave. Between that and Amazon, I'm slowly losing my mind!

#BlogLife249 - I have my eye on you

Morning all. How was your weekend? Mine was up and down on the one hand I was excited about my earbuds arriving and the downside was lack of proper sleep.

I keep wanting to lay in more and be properly rested but when I'm expecting a parcel, I worry about oversleeping and scrambling to the door before I miss the postie or courier.

I prefer to have my lenses in and be fresh and dressed, otherwise I don't feel like squinting to see who is at the door. I try not to rub my eyes but I always do, to get the grit out and now they are just tender and irritable.

I don't usually have issues with flies but I have one at the moment that is obsessed with me. Keeps buzzing around and landing on the laptop.

I never see it unless it's nearby. I've tried a bowl of water, spritzing peppermint essential oil, spraying/squishing it but it just won't die or fly out, grr.

I hate eating while it's hovering nearby. Oh I even tried binaural beats but it seemed to love that and lingered around even more.

If you haven't read the twitter updates, what happened was, I kept refreshing the Amazon tracker and there was no news and it didn't say out for delivery, just that it was expected today (Saturday).

Then the next minute I see "package delayed in transit" so I have customer services call me, which I'm glad is working again.

Only to be told, they have no idea what's happening and it will arrive, anytime over the weekend so just keep waiting or Monday call for a refund.

It's irritating that there wasn't more information and it's their own service and they don't have an update? Amazon logistics, useless.

I'm trying to be optimistic but it's not looking good and by the evening I'm frustrated and call again in case I missed something.

I get told the same thing, just keep being patient and it will probably arrive soon blah blah. I just roll my eyes because it stays on the delayed message.

Sunday morning I get up early and decide to call again because I don't feel like waiting around the whole day. Finally I get some news.

He said Oh turns out, your package was damage en route and that was the reason for the delay and I'm thinking, they didn't have the common sense to send another one, until I called up??

Grrr!!! If I hadn't of chased it up, I would still be waiting. I'm sick of using the broken headphones. He says he has reassigned it and I should get it today (Monday).

The tracking was updated, with some garbage about Customer requested a new date. Pfft what about Amazon failed to deliver and inform me what the hell was going on??

Anyway it's now 8.42am and the tracking hasn't changed to Out for delivery yet. I know it's still early but I've been properly up since 7am and I can't relax until it's set in motion and I have it in my hands.

I may just ring them again to have some peace of mind. I find when something goes wrong, I have to keep chasing it up to get it, otherwise somehow there are more complexities to deal with and more time has passed, amplifying the lateness.

The representative said something about lunchtime but my head was fuzzy and I missed it. Ok I don't feel the reassurance I was counting on.

I called them up and she said the company line, all set for today but it's not out for delivery, 6am-8pm I think she said and it's nearly 9am now.

I'll just hope that it shows up. I would like to see if it's worth all this drama. I feel like I still prefer both options, overhead for daytime and outdoors and earbuds for nighttime and sleeping.

#BlogLife117 - JRH16 Headphones review

I would normally post this on Amazon but for this product, I think they have completely stop accepting them and that is because there is a site that used to be called Amz Reviews..

https://www.myvipon.com/index.php

Who is now named Vipon where you can browse for products and get a significant discount to use on Amazon, in exchange for a truthful review.

It used to be much better, by the fact that a lot of premium items were completely free and as long as they were over £20, you wouldn't have to pay postage either.

I got an electric toothbrush. Various beauty items like cleansers. Beautiful, high quality maxi dresses for a fraction of their worth and so forth..

You apply the code at the checkout and it just varies from half price to a couple pounds off to most of it reduced. Most of the time the codes work and they go lightning fast so if you are after something, check in the mornings.

The headphones were priced at £30. I had £15 off with the code. Plus I had £10 Amazon credit and had just redeemed £5 from Mistplay. Making it free :)

Some people are still so grateful for the deal that they hide the negative aspects. I do not because when I read feedback, I like the good and bad points.

I wasn't even sure if this could connect to multiple devices but I just tried it on my chromebook and Samsung A41 phone and it worked without incident.

The name that will come up is JR H16. To turn off the bright light on the headphones, just press the volume buttons down together and you will see the light go off. After using it for 18 hours I had 40% left on the battery.

Then I stuck it on the charger which took roughly an hour and a half to 2 hours to fully restore. Compared to other headphones the battery drains really quickly, it's hard to believe it's long life.

However I had been keeping the light on, so I'll do a new test and see if lasts more than half a day.

They are comfortable at first but after time passes, they start to feel tender on the ears. Also they have the smallest ear cups I have owned for a while. I'm not sure if that will make the sound leak.

I have the black version as I am not bothered about the colour. These arrived lightning fast on the basic free delivery.

I ordered them on a Thursday and the next day they showed up in the afternoon. I was surprised but during non holidays, Amazon does deliver quite quickly.

I bought these to replace another cheap set I bought on Ebay that refused to connect to bluetooth and the sound was horribly distorted. I find Amazon has better overall quality.

I'll be using these for music mainly, some videos and possibly the occasional phone call, although the quality always seems poor for calls. I haven't attempted that yet but I'll try and add the result when I do.

When you plug it in to the charger there is a red light and when it is fully renewed, the light disappears and you can remove it. It came with the usual usb cord and the wire to plug it in and use it without bluetooth, if that is your preference.

The only negative I see so far is that when I pause and resume a video, the sound doesn't reconnect straight away, so I lose a few seconds, I haven't experienced that before. Also I have just checked the call quality.

I can hear the person clearly but the person listening to me on the other end says I sound a lot worse and unclear compared to how I sounded before when I wasn't connected on the headphones.

Prime trial

I had some free compensation on Amazon and a fair bit in my Amazon gift card so although I'm not going to be home, I decided to shop anyway.

I'm having it all delivered to mum's as hopefully I'll be there when most of it arrives. I just felt bad about the lack of stocking fillers so I decided goodies were needed.

Turkish delight for mum, not a fan myself. lindor hazelnut truffles which I have always wanted to try and I finally saw a long thick wintery nightie that would actually keep me warm.

I've been browsing the catalogues and watching them reduce in price but the majority are flimsy, short and don't seem durable. I prefer to invest in something will last.

The last one I bought from Amazon is still going strong, three years later. The others I have purchased just seemed to rip or tear.

I am going to be swimming in it because I am just over five feet but at least I can sit down and it won't ride up. It is floor length on me.

I played it safe and went for the black. Short sleeves with a little detail design on them. It's a satin mix but really thick and heavy. It should arrive late December/early January and I can't wait.

I bought it extra large because I didn't want it clingy, when I'm lounging. Also I find it better to go up a size on Amazon. The lindor is due tomorrow and the turkish delight is arriving at the end of December too.

The best thing about the lindor is that it was free. I think when I complained about some order, they stuck on my account. It is kinda mean that I had to pay postage for the dress.

Prime should mean everything is free delivery but the gift card still covered everything with £2ish leftover. I did have a Prime trial early in March I think.

I am surprised they offered me another one but as It's Christmas, I suppose they want to encourage people to shop. I never have any issues with cancelling after the month is up and sometimes they extend it for another month.

I never used to like signing up to trials but if it is easy to cancel, then it is definitely worth it for bulk buys or to save postage costs.

I can't remember if you get a time slot. Not long to go now and I shall be out of here. No more wins, fake or otherwise.
