#BlogLife1029 - Chatty Chicks Watching Flicks 23 - Bridgerton S4 second half

I completely forgot about this returning, probably because it underwhelmed me, let's see how it unfolds..

I've almost forgotten everything but I'm not tempted to rewatch it..

Good grief Benedict, passing a note is hardly discreet. You couldn't find a way to talk to her alone..

I got to read my notes from the last one.. Suddenly her step mama is gone and there's a new Lady Penwood..

What about her inheritance? I don't even remember if she has one..

How is she going to be legitimised? Maybe her Mama and the Lord married in secret?

I'm not surprised she wants to leave the Bridgerton employment, she cares for Benedict and he sees her as what?

A plaything? Pfft!

I just realised why are all the Ladies in waiting wearing grey wigs and not just their natural hair?

What do they even do? Just companionship for the Queen?

Lady Danbury is still determined to leave and have Alice be the complete replacement.

Noone could replace Lady Danbury, she's too good.

I wonder what Violet Bridgerton's reaction will be when she finds out about Benedict and Sophie and him being the reason, she wants to leave.

Aha so that's gonna be how Sophie gets blackmailed by Lady Penwood aka her step mama.

Even though her own daughter gave Sophie the shoe buckle thingy to sell for food or lodgings..

She's gonna say Sophie stole her and that her daughter is the masked stranger at the ball, Benedict fell for..

I mean I am just guessing, we shall see.. Why would Sophie go back to her step mama?

Ok maybe I got that wrong too, maybe her step sister gave her something else to sell to survive, it's very confusing because she admitted she stole it because she never received any wages, which is fair enough.

Unless she just used that as an excuse to end her job with the Bridgertons..

Ha Violet is seriously laying down the law with Eloise, accompany her sister on the tedious lessons or get to finding a suitor and neither appeals to Eloise.

Hmm that was some ruse to get Eloise and Francesca out the way so Benedict could speak to Sophie alone and get her answer..

I think Benedict lacks the charm and confidence, unlike Anthony and Colin.

Instead of coming across like he's smitten, it's more like raging hormones, like she's not special..

I wonder if Francesca's hubby knows his cousin is gay or bi, he seemed against matching her up with a suitor.

I know he definitely doesn't know about the flirtation or attraction or fling between them..

Hmm so Sophie finally saw Benedict's sketches of her as the mystery woman at the ball..

At least Sophie spoke her mind and it's true, he's chasing her, attempting to kiss her because she's a lowly maid.

With someone respectable, someone that was from a prominent family, he wouldn't come on that strongly.

He'd wine and dine her and get to know her, as a woman, as a future partner, not just someone to fool around with.

A more emotional connection. I would want to escape temptation too but not by running back to a slave driver.

Hmm I wonder if Violet suspects that Sophie and Benedict like each other?

Maybe they weren't as discreet as they thought.. Oh cripes Varley blabbed to save her job with the Penwoods and told that horrible woman, where Sophie is working.

She doesn't miss her step daughter, she misses bossing her about and her efficiency.

Hmm I knew the Queen wouldn't let Lady Whistledown aka Penelope retire, she enjoys gossip too much.

But it's no fun because Penelope hates it now.

Well that confirms it, the cousin Michaela and Francesca didn't have an affair, just an attraction they avoided.

I'm sure Francesca's ball confirmed it, Benedict keeps checking out Sophie and finding excuses to be near her.

And Violet saw it all her. I laughed out loud at Eloise face getting all the male attention and her being surprised and hating it.

While Francesca surprisingly got none. Oh crap, Alice the Queens spy overheard Benedict and Sophie talking about kissing.

I wonder if she's gonna blab or keep it to herself? Well at least Benedict finally confessed how he felt about Sophie.

I don't blame her for being sceptical, she has a lot to lose and he has nothing.

She said it back...... She loves him too. When on earth is he going to find out, she's the mystery woman?

On to Episode 2..

Oof is Sophie pregnant already and Violet knows, she knows her identity..

Well at least Violet was kinder and heard her out, but she is relieved that she's leaving too, tricky situation..

At least Kate and Anthony are back, however brief and Anthony is trying to reason with Benedict to break it off.

That made me laugh so much, Cressida is the new Lady Penwood.

At least she apologised to Pen, I hope she's genuine.

I got to give Benedict props for saying he cared about men as well as women in his past. That is gutsy.

I just thought of something, at one point Anthony was gonna elope with the Opera singer.. (Sierra was it)?

Benedict never thought about that with Sophie.. Just shacking up together.

I'm kinda surprised that Pen didn't offer to gossip in private with the Queen, reputations would be spare and she would get her fix.

I guess Cressida's thing is always going to be to be dressed unfashionably because she's the so-called villainess?

I guess what's frustrating about the series, you don't really see what married life is like for the couples.

I mean bits here and there but nothing really deep.

I have a strong feeling they are hinting about a replacement Whistledown, male or female..

Ugh Sophie was gonna run off with Benedict to the cottage but after hearing Anthony saying they would be shunned, her, their kids..

She's gonna leave and probably run into her step mama..

Considering Anthony was gonna disappear, I didn't think he'd threaten to disown Benedict and cut him off financially.

Oof the Queen accepted Pen's resignation and told her to stop by with gossip occasionally..

That is bittersweet, she finally let Lady Danbury free to travel. Please don't leave indefinitely, it wouldn't be the same..

Finally it's about time Violet and Marcus got serious and married, they didn't seem that committed..

Oh I get it now, so Sophie would work for Cressida, not her step mama..

I wonder if she's lying about not being pregnant, seems like she is..

I get why she's dumping Benedict, she wants to protect him from being estranged with his close family.

But if he's serious about her, now is the time to reassure her and say, my family will learn to accept us, at least in private..

I feel like he doesn't really fight for her, spineless. This is my issue with him.

I thought Francesca and Michaela would just have an affair..

But nope they killed off John to make way for them I guess. A shame.

Although he wasn't my favourite character..

Episode 3 (4.7)

It's weird, no Kate or Anthony, no Daphne or Simon for the funeral, very odd to me, seeing as they all are so close..

And Francesca is so internal, it's going to be hard enough for her to let her emotions out.

Oof Hyacinth is so sweet, I know she's trying comfort Francesca but when you're trying to be strong and not break in front of people, it's the last you want.

Damn Sophie is so intuitive, leading Francesca away so she can have a moment to compose herself.

Well that goodbye was clinical between Benedict and Sophie. I wonder if Cressida will make a good employer?

If it gets to that point.. I feel like shaking Benedict and saying get over yourself, man up.....

Alright why do I think Sophie's necklace with wind up with her step mama?

But how would she have gotten a hold of it. Unless Benedict took it as a keepsake?

She's the last one I thought would be pregnant. Dang that's cruel, Francesca is finally becoming a Mama, she always wanted that but now the hubby is gone.

Ugh I knew they were going to postpone the wedding, Violet and Marcus..

Oh crap what now, Cressida fired Sophie, not a good start. Ahh so that's what it will come down too.

Possible new job but overseas...Good gravy insisting Francesca is examined to confirm she's pregnant, while she's grieving, all so that she won't be evicted, yuckity..

Oh goodness, I wonder if she's miscarried. Or maybe she was never pregnant?

Did she even want kids? John wanted this, he wanted that. What did you want?

Sad, she lost the baby. I guess this series was concentrating on Benedict and Francesca, sorry my least favourite siblings.

Interesting Violet is encouraging Benedict to propose but clarifying he'd have to stay in the country and not visit them.

They would probably have to see him, she didn't mention cutting him off financially though..

See it should have occurred to him to offer marriage, way before his mama said anything..

He's an immature spoilt child, not a man. Although I admired the way he stood up for Francesca, but he had reached boiling point anyway..

Like he's content to whine and wallow, he wants his cake and to eat it too.

Doesn't seem like he is willing to sacrifice anything for her, but she was..

You'd think Sophie would be legitimised by marriage. How is this gonna unfold?

I've never understood the pitting sibling against sibling, just means the left out one hates the parent and the sibling..

Why is Varley spying? I am so lost. Is Cressida and Sophie's step mama living in the same house next door to the Bridgerton's?

That's gonna prompt her to leave for good, if her step mama is still gunning for her and willing to press charges for theft.

Is that what bothers me about Benedict, he's looking to others for an ego boost, instead of working on himself and growing, maturing..

Ahh ok, I should have known, Varley was supposed to follow the step sister straight to Sophie's whereabouts, as instructed by the step mama..

So it's all out, Varley grassed, step mama knows Sophie is at the Bridgertons, there is a reason she wants to speak to her and it's not because of the theft...

Ohh so Benedict found the necklace that Sophie never showed him and he's looking at his sketches of the ball.

So that's how he figures out mystery woman and Sophie are the same person.

I guess it's irrelevant, she's leaving.. That's the cliffhanger, step mama ambushed her, so jail it is.

Pfft too lil too late Benedict, should have got your butt in gear sooner.

Last episode, I need refreshments..

There's not going to be much time for them as a real couple then, boo..

Yowser life imprisonment or probably death. I wonder if the step sister will come forward and say it wasn't theft she gave Sophie them as a gift and forgot to mention it?

How is anyone going to find out she's been incarcerated? Mind you, they do love their gossip..

Step mama gloating about it, while someone overhears maybe?

Ooh ok the Queens hosting a ball, it's been a few seconds since the last one..

It can't be another masquerade one, can it? Ha..

What was the point of Cressida's return? Seen for one moment and then gone..

Well at least the good step sister knows of Sophie's plight, you better do something quick..

That was quick, Varley developed a conscience and blabbed to the Bridgerton staff and now the family knows.

Why did the step mama, want her to confess? Further humiliation, she knew her word would be taken as gospel regardless.

Sophie wouldn't be believed she's just the help.. At least Benedict and Violet got there in time, to take custody of her.

What will it take for the step mama's seething hatred to dissipate and release Sophie.....?

Daphne's married to a Duke, doesn't that carry some influence?

I guess really only the Queen can bless the union, or give Sophie a title?

Yes Benedict has a right to be hurt, annoyed Sophie didn't reveal her other identity..

Wait until the other bombshell hits, surprise my step mama is the one out to jail me..

Why is she holding that back... All she would have to do is threaten to reveal that to the world and she would back off..

The scandal, the scandal, someone sedate me, revive me, fetch me bon bons..

Ever the sweetheart, Lady Danbury offered to postpone her trip..

It is hilarious John the footman standing guard to make sure Sophie and Benedict don't mingle, ha.

Ha what are besties for, distracting John and flirting with him, well she likes him anyway, no hardship..

Now I remember, step mama said she wasn't in the will.. And the only way Sophie would survive was to become a servant/slave.

I wonder if it was even illegal not to pay wages? The magistrate didn't seem bothered..

I wonder what the will, will change? She can't inherit a title? Maybe her mama wasn't a servant?

£4k a year her Papa left to her step mama for a roof over head, she saw none of it, yeesh.

Cressida seems calmer and she and Eloise may not be besties but it was a civil enough meeting, while Sophie found the will.

What will the Queen's take be on the Benedict love interest, divided by class..

She doesn't approve, that's no surprise. I thought Alice and her hubby shared everything..

I wonder if she took the will or just glanced at it, in any rate, it proves the step mama stole from her.

I guess Sophie going to the Queen's ball, a direct approach is the only course left, for her to see them in love..

Ahh well an informal ambush between the mama in law and the Bridgertons it is.

Mutual destruction for all parties concerned and noone goes to jail.

It's weird the step mama, has 2 daughters that she acknowledges looking for wealthy suitors but only respects one of them.

It turns out the neglected one makes a match. Why put all your eggs in one basket, if money is all you care about?

It's so obvious Lady Featherington missed Varley, she was knowledgeable and loyal about everything :)

So somehow she's magically legitimate? Ok..

So weird, so Violet has broken off the engagement, because she wants to be free, yet date him. Ugh, no progress.

Serves her right, Marcus dumped her, she's stringing him along too much.

I bet that's not Penelope as Lady Whistledown... And him Francesca's love interest has gone, her hubby's cousin.

Ok a new Whistledown. I'm not sure who it could be..

I was definitely disappointed in Benedict and Violet, bring on the Eloise, that will be exciting.

#BlogLife1014 - Chatty Chicks Watching Flicks 22 - Bridgerton season 4 part 1

Ha funny, I wasn't sure what I would be talking about and then I was searching for something to watch and I didn't realise Bridgerton was out.

Season 4, four episodes were released in January and the rest 27th February I think.

I don't watch spoilers, I want to guess and be surprised, I can't wait for the Eloise version.

I hope they'll focus on the other siblings too, not just Benedict, I'm not really excited to watch his story unfold sorry..

I'm curious who will be featured, Kate and Anthony? Colin and Penelope? Daphne and

As I predicted will there be a new even male version of Whistledown?

Monsieur Whisperer? Hmm so Benedict is like a wayward Anthony, except Anthony still fulfilled his duties..

At least Colin, Pen and Eloise are still there, probably not Kate and Anthony as they mentioned their baby is abroad still :(

Oh yea I just realised, with Anthony gone, the responsibilities lie with Benedict after all but his heart isn't in it either.

I guess they don't trust accountants..

I just realised there's been no mention of Lady Danbury's brother who was interested in courting Violet Bridgerton, I wonder what happened there..

I knewww Benedict would end up being bisexual. Called that ages ago.

I guess he can't really end up with a man, it's probably illegal, maybe he's have an open marriage or his missus will be bi as well?

Who knows...

I hate parties but they are fun to watch, am not sociable and it seems this season, they are focused a lil more on the servants too.

But why, unless Benedicts ends up with one.. That's not proper society either though..

Without even watching it, this is seeming more and more like Cinderella...

Masked ball, true identities hidden, someone gatecrashing, where they shouldn't..

The lady in white, is probably going to be Benedict's new love interest..

Yea since when do coachman overstate the word Lady and bow, knew it...

Maybe it will eventually be like a birthright thing that she'll claim, or maybe she isn't a servant, just not high society either..

I guess we will find out..I was hoping they were gonna belt out another Madonna song..

Or maybe she's a love interest for John, Eloise's driver/staff..Hmm

Cute he is there, I can't remember his name, Violet's love interest..

Oh boy so the Penwood Mama is determined to marry her daughter off to Benedict, fat chance, he's still in bachelor mode.

They're probably broke then, two deceased hubbys, maybe she's a black widow, bumping them off one by one lol.

Aha so Eloise declared she wants to be a bachelorette too. Hmm, he's gonna have to be a hell of a catch to win her over, next season.

Good luck to him.

Aww no is Lady Danbury leaving the show to travel? I hope not, she's one of my favourites...

Who could possibly replace her? It's kinda sad to see Pen not enjoying being Lady Whistledown..

I know she doesn't wanna tarnish anyone's reputation, still not sure the secret coming out was wise...

Yowser the Queen said no to Lady Danbury leaving. I love that even Brimsley's wearing a mask ha.

Well, she's definitely Benedict's love interest, they are bonding over feeling uncomfy and out of place.

That's hilarious Benedict being a gentleman and kissing her on the cheek not lips.

And then she plants one on him and scurries off when she learns it's midnight.

Well she didn't leave her glass slipper behind, just a glove..

Omg that's who she is, as soon as she bumped into Lady Penwood, she's either a relative, a servant, or someone hidden away forbidden from attending balls..

And Benedict is of course smitten because she's not pursuing him, she's not obsessed with his wealth or name, she just wanted to have fun at a party.

Aww so she is a maid, and then I reckon it will turn out she's actually an illegitimate relation or some such with a title..

So her name is Sophie.

Yup Violet is set on marrying off her children, especially, Eloise and Benedict.

And the Queen thought Pen was making a bet to see if Benedict will marry and be the diamond of the season.

Got to say Pen looked adorable as the pirate :)

I was gonna binge watch all 4 episodes but it's getting late and I have to be up early.

Two now, two tomorrow, or should I just watch 1 and now go to bed?

I'm waiting for my earbuds to charge and then bed. Interesting that Penwood has one respectful daughter that she neglects and one boisterous like herself that she lavishes attention on.

On to episode 2..

Hmm so it was ok for the step Mama to have kids from a previous marriage but it wasn't acceptable for him?

Sophie's Papa?! Penwood is her Step Mama. At least he introduced her, albeit coldly, ward, instead of delightful daughter.

Men, pfft!!

I do like Sophie's colleagues and I wonder if Benedict is going to recognise Sophie in servants attire?

Seeing as he sketched her from memory and has been daydreaming about her ever since they met, he should.

She's a lil smitten with him too, she just can't afford to admit it, even to herself..

Good grief I thought Violet and her beau would have made progress, they are still acting like polite strangers.

Go courting, or however they wooed back then!

So we all know how this is going to go, Penwood step Mama, is going to figure out Sophie is the one Benedict is searching and will pretend it's one of her birth daughters instead..

Hmm I just realised, ward could mean anything maybe her Mama was a servant too, she passed away and then the Lord of the Manor promised to look after her?

I'm not too sure. Maybe maybe, if I was Soph, I would have tried to bump into Benedict on his own while he was leaving, see if I was recognised..

If not, I could still keep my cover and dignity and not get fired lol.

This is definitely the slowest, least interesting season to date. I had a feeling it would.

It's ok, it's just not edge of the seat compelling, like the others were..

I knew Brimsley would make an impassioned speech to Lady Danbury to reconcile with the Queen.

She's lonely, but she voiced it badly, when she said some people don't deserve kindness or some such, ouchy.

Ohh busted, I knew it was just a matter of time, before the wicked step Mama figured out Sophie's ruse, that she is the one..

There's probably a secret will, that Sophie is not aware exists..

Ouchy, actually I didn't think she would fired for real, dang no wages and slave labour, that sucketh.

Where is she going to go? That's sweet, her friends gave her some money for shelter.

Aww and one of the sisters gave her something to sell, ha she took the glove, good on her.

Holy crap that was Sophie he was defending, I didn't even realise.

I knewww he wouldn't recognise her in servant's clothing. Ha I bet step Mama lied, pfft as if she wasn't in the will when he died.

Well interesting Benedict's playing hero, that had to smart a lil bit when he said I promise I won't even look at you lol

He did preface it by saying, I won't touch you, he is drunk out of his mind, so I guess that can be forgiven.

Oops gotta take off the heating.

I wonder if Benedict is delirious from the fever due to the injury or he finally realises Sophie is the one..

I wonder if Lady Featherington's loyal maid, is really going to leave.

I wonder if the wage increase is worth putting up with a tyrant. Mind you I guess bosses are bossy..

Well Francesca's marriage seems more like a friendship even though they are active in the boudior.

Hmm Benedict with all his insecurities and feeling like no matter what he says and does, it's not enough.

Trying to be honourable towards Sophie but they like each other, especially after the second kiss..

It's sweet that Francesca speaks to Pen about intimate stuff. The sex talks are always hilarious.

Oof finally Violet and beau had their first kiss.

Episode 4

Well he definitely has to figure out who she is, by the glove or the necklace and it will mean a rushed ending.

Not much of them as a couple really. Eeek that's really awkward at first I thought Benedict was gonna find a job for her at Penwood's not knowing the circumstances but working at his home, for his Mama...

Eeek, very cringey. Although at least they are respectful towards their help and actually pay them.

Who is going to discover her secret identity?

Dang, not very discreet, has Benedict finally worked it out? Come on the episode is nearly over and if he hasn't she'll be fired..

Oh no, it's going to be a cliffhanger...

Dang it, you spoiled it, Be my mistress? What the hell Benedict, I hope she slaps him!

Oh man, so the Penwood family is moving next door to the Bridgerton's and Benedict still doesn't know who she is.

I suspect Francesca had an affair with her hubby's relative.. Hmm

#BlogLife704 - Chatty chicks watching flicks 14 - Bridgerton second half

Oof the time flew by fast, just munching and will watch the second half of Bridgerton and then Google to see the spoilers because although I've managed to avoid it.

My phone and Googly keep saying fans are upset about something..

Could it be the last series? Could someone else be killed off or quit the show?

Has a storyline wrapped up in an unsatisfying way? If it's renewed maybe it won't be for 2 years.....Who knows...

My food is getting cold so I'm gonna dig into the show. I'm glad Eloise has a strong reaction to the engagement announcement.

She didn't outwardly protest but excused herself and quite rightly is protective of Colin and said harshly but truthfully..

That he can't love until he knows the truth about her identity and Pen, promised to divulge it when she can soften the blow.

So maybe the whole show is coming to a climax as this is the big secret.

Although there are many potential storylines to be shared still..

Aww Kate's pregnant and Anthony's excited, I thought for a second it was their second child but I was thinking of Daphne and her hubby, so this will be their first.

Ooh I was forgetting that Pen had to face her Mama and see what her reaction would be.

Why doesn't she think Colin or anyone could fall for her daughter?

Maybe she's being protective and not wanting Pen to get hurt?

That was cutting, asking if Colin had declared his love for her?? And he really hasn't.

Aww bless Colin burst in at the right moment and defended Pen's honour.

I still feel like there will be obstacles ahead.. Oh he said he loves aww :)

But she didn't say it back... Ok this time there is no mistaking, they definitely made love.

With Marina he was so proper but I guess back then he was inexperienced and young.

With Pen, he's way more confident I guess. I don't know why but I assumed Eloise always knew or suspected Pen had a crush on Colin but she seems really taken aback by it.

Even questioning the friendship of Pen possibly using her to get closer to Colin which surprises me.

I forgot the Queen is still after Whistledown also, there's so much drama!

Oh no no no, the Queen has put a bounty that whoever has information on Whistledown's identity will receive £5k.

Oh man I feel sorry for Cressida, not the nicest person but she doesn't deserve to be in a loveless marriage with a man 3x times her age.

He's not even a nice man, doesn't like music, art or socialising. No gossiping or frivolous colourful clothes.

But demands tons of babies, yuck, ick. I hope that she will be spared that and find a love match.

It's sweet that Colin wanted Eloise's blessing on his union. How is he going to react when he finds out?

Will he dump Penelope? Will he shop her into the Queen in a fit of rage and betrayal??

Good grief Cressida's intended wants 4 or 5 babies??? What the hell! Horrifying!

Wow! Eloise just gave Penelope until midnight on her engagement party to tell Colin the truth.

I wonder if Cressida will overhear and spill the beans to someone..

At least Francesca is it? And her new beau are talking more, that seems way healthier than silence.

I think they both suffer from social anxiety. But suddenly Francesca seems more composed.

Oh that's a twist. Midnight struck and I thought Cressida and Eloise were going to out Pen as Whistledown but instead..

Cressida decided that she would tell everyone that she is Whistledown to get the reward money and emancipate herself, run away from home.

But what is the Queen going to do and what is Pen going to do?

Pen just fainted, surely she isn't pregnant already? Oh my my my.

Colin is talking about Cressida and Eloise thinks he knows about Penelope!

Oh ok, nope, the secret is not out yet! Eloise just had a hard talk with Pen.

Convincing her not to tell Colin and to let Cressida take the rap, take ownership for being Whistledown.

Telling her to give it up and not devastate Colin that she Eloise and Pen have lied to him all along.

I don't think Pen can give up her voice, her outlet for anyone, including Colin.

Maybe she can reinvent herself, legitimise it somehow??

Aww well Penelope finally told Colin she loves him and in the Church no less.

She should still tell him the truth, that is a huge secret between them, it should come from her, not from someone else.

Looks like Lady Danbury really hates the fact that her brother likes Violet Bridgerton.

Maybe she thinks he is not sincere or maybe it's the fact that she slept with her Papa?

Hmm so only Genevieve the dressmaker is encouraging Pen not to give up on her dreams, as Pen wants to quit writing..

If Mama Featherington treated all her kids equally, they would all be so much happier.

Now she is ignoring, the two she favoured and lavishing attention on Pen because of her association with the wealthy prestigious Bridgertons.

So that's why Lady Danbury has issues with her sibling, he may have stopped her from eloping because the man she ended up with, was not her first choice.

I still wonder if Benedict is bisexual and I don't like his new match.

Hmm he declined the threesome offer. I don't think she is that into him, not romantically, just physically.

Oh my busted! So that is how Colin finds out, he follows Pen as she goes to the publisher to set the record straight and then he confronts her.

You are Whistledown??!!

Oof that stung, Colin said he thought he was undeserving of her love but now he will never forgive her for the lies....

Oh poor Pen and poor Colin and poor situation and too many poors!!

Okay so Pen has reclaimed Whistledown but now what?? I was waiting for the confrontation between Colin and Eloise but I'm glad he wasn't that mad.

And I'm also pleased that Eloise told Pen to clean up her own mess because Eloise felt trapped being in the middle.

Eeek Colin is not calling off the wedding but he is livid still, asking if Pen will give it up?

And saying she basically seduced him into marriage. Not good, that's pretty low considering she was a damn virgin!!!

Bad Colin, uncalled for!

Finally Lady Danbury's brother asked out Violet Bridgerton, been waiting for that for agesss.

Hmm I kinda thought Colin was going do something crazy and cheat on Pen.

I knew he was a lil jealous of her writing abilities. Aww that's sweet, Edwina is married and Anthony sensed Kate wasn't quite content.

So he suggested that they travel to India, have the baby there and then immerse into her culture as well as his.

Still not entirely sure Colin has forgiven Pen. Oh goodness me, what is the Queen upto?

Has she finally figured out the identity?? Ooh is Cressida going to find out what Whistledown looks like?

In a way I can understand Colin wanting Pen to give up writing, but on the other hand, that's her true calling..

At least it appears as though Eloise and Pen have finally mended their friendship.

So now Cressida is trying to blackmail Pen so she can escape abroad.

I wonder what it is going to take for Colin to forgive Pen? Oof and then Cressida just outed Pen to her Mama.

I don't like that, Colin took charge and wouldn't even consider Pen's point of view and resolution, he just completely ignored her stance.

That was wrapped up in a nice way but what is next?? I can't believe the truth is out, everyone knows Pen is Whistledown and she herself orchestrated it.

#BlogLife694 - Chatty Chicks Watching Flicks 13 - Bridgerton first half binge

Ooh they mentioned Edwina finding a match abroad, I wonder if that is with the Prince, I really hope she returns and gets to wrap up her love story in a satisfying way.

That was too funny, separate bedrooms for Will the boxer and his wifey when they are a young couple, in their newly inherited mansion.

Awww Pen, it's so hard not to laugh, she was waving that fan so hard as though she wanted to fly into the heavens ha.

And the nervous laughter I can relate too. Ick, I thought that was Benedict having the threesome but nope it's romeo Colin.

Interesting point Colin made that it shouldn't matter what people think of you, only how you see yourself and that he was able to reinvent himself as he was surrounded by strangers who had no perceptions of him so he could learn to accept and be himself.

Although I'm not sure he is a playboy deep down but he is young so I guess sowing your wild oats is natural while he is unattached and not committed to anyone.

I'm not sure what his age is supposed to be, mid to late twenties maybe?

Hmm so Colin finally asked what the rift between his sister and Penelope is?

And Penelope just avoided that, to avoid lying perhaps? It was sweet that he was teasing her and it felt like he wanted to protest her leaving so soon..

I can't believe Will and his missus are sticking to the rules of sleeping apart, pfft, you own the damn mansion, do as you please.

Oh my my my ha, Colin wants Penelope to practice flirting on him, he must be clueless as to her feelings, yeesh, how could you not tell, she is into you???

Hmm from the looks of it, seems like Colin has a growing attraction and journals so that's a common interest as she writes too.

But she can't exactly say, Hey what a coincidence, I'm a writer too....... Or funny story I'm Whistledown.....

Now that was sweet, Eloise enquiring to Colin about how Penelope's state of mind is, while maintaining the friendship has outgrown.

Why would she do that, Eloise just blurted out to Cressida that Colin was helping Penelope find a hubby.

I know she is trying to protect her brother, she's in an awkward position. She's angry with Penelope or maybe hurt but still cares about her wellbeing.

I wonder if they will focus on Benedict next season or even in latter half of this one??

Goodness me, Portia Featherington, the Mama, is pressurising her kids to have babies to inherit the estate but one of them doesn't even know how babies come about ha.

The sex talks are one of my favourite bits on the show, hilarious.

If they were just to educate their daughters properly on what happens between a man and a woman, there wouldn't be this confusion.

Oof so Cressida blabbed? Or so it seems.. The whole ball is talking about why Colin an eligible bachelor is assisting Penelope with finding a match.

It's sweet though that she finally found someone who she was comfortable around and that seemed keen on her and he will see her for a chaperoned date soon.

Ooh okay, so maybe Francesca will be the new diamond. I kinda hoped it would be Penelope, that nobody would be banking on.

At least Will and Alice seem like a loving couple that communicates their happiness and fears with each other and are not playing games or holding back their feelings for too long.

Hmm I guess Penelope had to kinda write about herself, she had no choice, it was a public scandal and Whistledown is all about the drama.

Oof so it wasn't Cressida that blabbed the secret. I can see why Eloise thought that, hell even I assumed she did.

I hope that Colin and Penelope's budding friendship doesn't cause a strain on him and Eloise's close bond.

I want them to mend it and for them all to be on friendly terms again.

Go Penelope!! That is ballsy, she asked Colin to kiss her as she's been circulating 3 years in a row and hasn't dated.

And is afraid that she never will find someone and perish alone.

He hesitated not because he didn't want too. I think because he knew it would forever change their friendship and how they saw each other.

He did softly kiss her and stopped and then they really smooched and then she thanked him and quickly scarpered away leaving him bewildered....

It's caring that he just had to check up on her, that he didn't wait until the morning, that even though it was late and reckless, he bribed the maid, to let him see her.

Ha Oh my, I thought it was Pen, that dreaming of Colin, not the other way around but she's getting under his skin and the feelings soon, won't be able to be stifled!!

That was kind that Eloise just called on some inner reserve and sought Pen out to apologise and wish her the best.

Oh gosh the awkward apologies between Pen and Colin, he seems rather disappointed that she's retreating from him.

But good on her for taking his feelings into account plus the public backlash of them being seen together.

Lil does she know he's getting increasingly fond of her close proximity to him.

I wonder who Colin's rival will turn out to be, there has to be some obstacle between him and Pen..

I kinda thought that Pen's Mama would have been a lil encouraging or said something like I can see you have potential, it's just going to take someone looking a lil deeper to discover how truly delightful, you really are.

Ha Colin didn't take his eyes off Pen, for the whole night at the ball.

So the outcast vegetarian might be a potential suitor, what happened to the other guy??

Oof does this mean a love triangle between Pen, Cressida and the veggie guy?

Oh Pen, don't compete with Cressida, just be yourself, that's what he liked about you.

You desire 7/8 children seriously? How do you just blurt that out to a woman, a potential match? Ha!

It would be lovely if after all this time Violet, aka Mama Bridgerton found companionship.

Hmm Colin had all this time to fall for Pen and the moment somebody else is interested and she's cast her attention elsewhere is when he will screw her head up again and say he likes her.

Or ask if she likes him, which is cruel. I'm not sure who I am rooting for at the moment.

Francesca seems, it's like she's resigned to being set up but when it comes to the crunch, withdraws.

Is it shyness or if she just not actually bothered? It's her prerogative but I'm curious.

If she gets together with that guy, how are they going to communicate when something's wrong?

They seem to prefer silence. That's gonna be a hard marriage, you can't go from not talking to suddenly demanding vocalisation.

Benedict and the widow seem like they are in lust, not sure love is blooming.

I think Colin is finally jealous of Pen dancing with another man. Good.

I just realised this is the first potential match that didn't start off with animosity.

Why does Lady Danbury suddenly hate her brother, In Queen Charlotte they were quite close.

Wow that's going fast, Pen's suitor is already talking marriage. Hmm, see I wouldn't have minded the new suitor if he wasn't so matter of fact.

It's like finding an independent wifey is the thing to do, while he is travelling off most of the time and is happy and passionate about that.

As though he doesn't really want a partner, more like an acquaintance?

Work takes up his life and thoughts and heart and there's no room for anyone else, Pen deserves better, any woman deserves better.

In a way I think it's a bit of a cheek, the new suitor doesn't want his future wifey to have feelings for anyone else, yet he can't say for certain his heart will open up one day?

Well I'm not sure how I feel about him leaving Pen. Colin is not exactly declaring just trying to forbid Pen from settling down.

Messy messy. Oh my, I can't quite tell if they made love in the carriage and then when he blurted out Are you coming or what?

I was thinking is she just a booty call? Then he said it......*Squeal*

Are you going to marry me??? Hmmm I wonder if Eloise will give Pen an ultimatum?

Tell him or I will before the nuptials..

Wowser what a cliffhanger until 13th June. Oof I can't wait.

#BlogLife689 - Chatty chicks watching flicks 12 - Bridgerton season 3

I wonder who the latest diamond will be? I wonder if Eloise and Penelope will reconcile any time soon?

I'm curious if Anthony and Kate have a baby? Or if Daphne and hubby are in this series?

How is Penelope and Colin's love going to blossom? Hmm so Colin has turned into a playboy, similar to the rest of them..

Awkward, Eloise isn't ready to make peace with Penelope, although she did save her from Cresceda's cruelty.

Where did the Featheringtons money come from? Ooh Penelope is hubby hunting to produce an heir that will take over the estate.

Out of the pink and green, I think the pink fabrics suited her better than citrus.

Whoa go Penelope, softer curls and the green dress looks stunning, hopefully she feels comfortable in her new appearance.

Especially with the attention she's bound to receive. Aww bless, take a breath, she is so nervous.

Colin couldn't take his eyes of Penelope as soon as she walked in, looking the most feminine she has ever appeared and actually smiling.

Eloise is trying to be less bookish and conform to everyone else's superficiality but she is bored senseless by it.

Oh I wonder if Penelope is going to end up being the diamond??

She finally confronted Colin, she's maybe his ego boost, she gives him, or gave him endless attention, when few did.

But she wants a relationship not friendship, although that will grow anyway.

She did overhear him saying in the last season, he would never date her.

At least now he will finally know she has always had a crush on him.

Hmm I think I was wrong, I still don't think Colin realises that she is infatuated with him and now he's going to help her with the hubby hunting by giving her charm lessons? Ha!!

#BlogLife375 - Chatty chicks watching flicks 4 - Bridgerton edition

I find myself hurrying the year up so we can catch up on all the drama of Bridgerton in 2023.

After watching both seasons, what's your favourite or do you like them equally well?

For me I have to say the second is far more entertaining. It just made me laugh more and there was more playfulness.

The first season seemed more angst ridden. I wonder if Edwina will be in series 3 and will she find a love interest? The Prince perhaps?

I also wonder if they are going to throw Colin and Penelope together what is going to happen when he finds out about her alter ego??

I'm not sure he is the forgiving type. I'm still on the fence about that couple, he still doesn't seem quite over Marina.

I feel like if she suddenly clicked her fingers and asked Colin to run away with her, he wouldn't hesitate....

Also what is it going to take to repair Eloise and Penelope's friendship, they aired out some bitter truths.

Is Eloise going to rekindle the flame with the Printer guy? Or will there be someone new?

Will Kate and Anthony make an appearance? I hope so. Their competitive spirit is fun to watch.

But season 1 made me fall in love with Lady Danbury, one of my favourite characters, sweet and tough and her relationship with the baby Duke aww.

How she mentored and cared for him, got him to open up and develop some confidence and inner strength against his unfeeling papa.

The one thing I did prefer is that Simon and Daphne transformed onto a first name basis and Kate and Anthony didn't really.

But I enjoyed both couples falling in love and distaste turning into something far more pleasurable.

Bring on Season 3 and all the drama that unfolds with it. Have you found any similar shows to binge?

I haven't, I seem to get tired of them quite quickly and quit watching them, then refer back to something I know I loved previously.
