#BlogLife1075 - A touch of lemon?

I think just before 5pm, the Garnier lemon face wash trio arrived, secured in bubble wrap.

Hmm, I sniffed it in the bottle and it doesn't really have a scent. There wasn't much on offer unfortunately.

Amazon has a nasty habit of hiding items, when you search from low to high, so you typically have to keep it at featured products, aka premium priced..

Anyway I could have gotten something I've used before or this trio for just over £4 I think it was.

But I like trying new things so I will chance it and let you know how it performs.

Then tomorrow/today the fan and the body butters will get here, hopefully in the morning, it's so draining wearing layers but I like to cover up.

Although I thought sod it and answered the door in a long long top.

Normally they drop it off anyhow and he was there, all friendly lol.

Good job I epilated my legs for the first or second time this year, there's not much hair remaining, nearly all permanently gone.

I think I'm bloated, hungry but not hungry so I just cooked some veggy spring rolls to snack on.

I'm mainly drinking ice water. The only bad thing about having a full freezer, the icebox on top is too packed to put my water bottles in overnight.

Even the ice poles haven't solidified yet and it's been 8 hours. I'm going to get more water and refill the water bottles so I don't run out of cold drinks.

Ugh when will this heatwave end? Oh someone said if you hang out wet items in the room, it's supposed to help cool the air?

I got to test that theory, I've forgotten if it's works. I do have laundry to do!

A thought occurred to me but I don't think I could be a damsel in distress, I could have asked G or one of the couriers to open a jar, but what if they refused?

Cringey.....

Strange so the body butters are coming with Evri couriers and the fan is coming by Amazon, very odd, it's normally bundled together.

At least I can relax, after they get here, please be in the morning, so convenient..

Oof what a mess the Amazon deliveries were. I literally couldn't wait anymore, to get a drink, munchies, a few minutes in the kitchen....

Then I return and see Oh we missed you, problem, we'll try again.....

You had all that time but seriously I never heard anything that sounded like the buzzer.

I'm not even sure he rang it, or just a short time. Well if you want to carry around my body butters, so be it.

Very annoying, last time the redelivery took days.. Pfft.

The Minthouz fan was stalled, it said You're next and then seemed like 30 minutes of nothingness.....

I thought Hmm, you're butt is going backwards, You're lost, here it comes, failed delivery again...

So I just rolled my eyes and waited and then boom, You're next again, about half an hour later..

It was delivered yay. I don't know if the steady red light means, it's charging, or it's fully charged?

I left it for about an hour I think and Yes, finally a fast charger one!!

It seems pretty powerful and sturdy on the lowest setting so that's good.

It's nearly 7.40pm so I'll try and count how long it lasts, while the other charges up.. 16 hours it was.

Wow and it was a mixture of the lowest setting and the second one. Maybe 3 or 4 altogether, quite impressed.

Ah interesting, it wasn't even fully charged and lasted that long, just stuck it on the charger and the red light is just on..

Maybe when it's ready, the light will come off? After 5 hours, the red light is still on, I gave up, I got other stuff to charge and only 1 fast charger.

I don't know if I should risk the older one, it always falls and breaks...

But night time is so horribly stuffy and I can't sleep... It's a dilemma for sure...

I had a lil panic, I threw the new fan on the bed and the top came off, Are you kidding me???

Broken already?? Ugh..... But turns out the face is removable and I had to twist it back into the lock position..

I didn't know that I was a feature, but yay, not broken.

Well Saturday afternoony is here and I am starving, this time, no kitchen, no water, no food..

I just waited 11.30am - 1.30pm for the Evri courier and just before 1pm he showed.

The sandwiches are cooking, I grabbed snacks and here is my initial verdict on the body butters....

It's not a body butter, it's thinner, not thick, I actually do like the smell, it's like a pudding or like a chocolate/vanilla custard cakey?

It's familiar but I can't place it. The reason for body butters, the legitimate ones..

Is because my elbows crack quite badly and a thick luxurious butter temporarily soothes it.

I'll still see how it performs, maybe it won't matter being thin and light???

Come on food, hurry up and cook....

After checking my elbows the next day, it's not completely healed but it's half moisturised...

So although it's not thick, it's better than a lotion. I kinda feel, it's just something that needs to be applied to my skin, a few times a day, to keep on top of dryness.

But at least I don't regret getting it, it's just a slower process to soothe irritated dehydrated skin.

And a hell of a lot nicer than the yucky wax scent, American Dream had, ick..

I'm hoping they last well into next year. Would I get it again? Umm...

Maybe only if it was on a special offer again, full price? Hmm there is probably better quality out there.

#BlogLife829 - Beauty galore, when Postie delivers..

Song of the day - Faith Evans - Love Like This

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1QzBQKYbag&list=WL&index=84

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucl-fSHpm50

There are 2 versions of this song, both are fabulous, the first just has all the lyrics but I added them both as the Fatman Scoop one is really catchy.

I keep downloading this song and it keeps disappearing from my phone.

Well it's slow going. I'm still patiently or impatiently more likely waiting for the tape measure, the 2x body butters, a perfume roll on mini and 2x face washes.

Yesterday was fun with the Looney Tunes glitch, where everyone nearly maxed or did max the new taz toon.

I almost got there but the most you usually achieve is 4 or 5 stars not 7.7.

Serves them right, robbing us free players of the new battlepass marvin dono toon, Scopely's answer was to purchase it, pfft, I don't pay for games!

Sorry about the lack of post yesterday I just felt a bit rough and couldn't concentrate, with all day cramps/nausea.

I took a sick day I guess and finished the one season of an old show Ambitions, it was really good.

It's a shame it didn't last, all the back stabbing, cheating, romance, corruption..

I guess in the end I was rooting for two couples to make it, Stephanie and Greg, both baddies but they suited each other and her sister in law who was a good person but insecure.

It ended on a cliffhanger so there were probably a few more demises.

The Detail was also a great cop show that ended prematurely. They love airing crap but the good stuff get's cancelled, grr.

I hoped for a good sleep last night but I was up for most of it and then when I finally drifted off in the early hours, the bloody neighbours woke me up.

I think a few or half the items should come today. The Fixderma vitamin c face wash £5 is due, plus the Beautizone order.

Which is the Astral moisturiser £5.49, The American Dream dark amber body butter and the golden dusk one, both £7.49 each.

It's just after 2pmish and at least the Beautizone order arrived, not sure where the regular Postie is with the face wash and the rest of the stuff.

The Astral cream smells perfumey and looks quite thick and big for a 200ml tub.

The body butters 500ml, smell divine like candles, one is more intoxicating than the other, it's too dark to see the names properly though.

And I'm not opening them until the other ones are finished.

Ha, funny, the regular Postie just turned up smiling, with the Al Rehab Sabaya perfume oil, 6ml for £3.18, I only got the sample size, in case I didn't like it.

Does seem to smell nice though, I can't apply it as I have mist on already.

I wasn't sure which one to get but the Sabaya seemed insanely popular with the citrus and floral notes.

I'm not going to open the Fixderma face wash either, I hope it smells citrusy.

I think I'm stocking up in case I struggle to afford these things later on.

When I've tried these products a few times, then I can do some beauty reviews.

I just like charting when they arrive and when I start using them, to see if they last ages and are good value for money.

#BlogLife703 - Hi Oil, Bye Oil

It's just past 4pmish and I might have had just a lil nap. My stomach is still lurching, it stops and then it restarts.

Nothing is really helping so I was distracting myself with shopping and I found what I was looking for.

Yes To Tomatoes £4.50 combination 50ml moisturiser. I think it's an organic brand, I've heard of them before, not sure I've tried them though.

Yes To Grapefruit clay cleanser 113g, I think it changes colour £5.08.

Plus an Ink Dip face wash 100ml, supposed to be citrusy, from £10.50 to £3, plus postage but I had a discount so the amount altogether was £9.36 ha!!

I do love a good bargain so beauty reviews upcoming, maybe they will get here at the weekend.

Finally the Beautizone goodies arrived, pictures on Twitter @SleeplessScrib1.

As a reminder of what I ordered. The Olive 200ml anti frizz hair oil £4.

The Vatika castor 200ml hair oil for £4 and the American Dream aloe body butter 500ml for £6.

Lastly the American Dream 500ml body butter passion lily for £7.50.

I'm so glad they were carefully packed with bubble wrap and sellotape so they didn't leak.

What I noticed which was strange was that the Aloe butter looks different to how it was before.

Previously it was like whipped butter, had a thickness to it and was the colour white.

Now it looks green and more like a lotion/cream, however although it appears thinner and not really the body butter consistency that I look for.

It hits my skin in the same luxurious hydrating manner. My elbows are once again dry and cracking and with just a small single application....

They almost feel renewed and smooth and soft. They haven't completed healed but it's a great start and that's why I love the American Dream brand.

It's not cheap but it will be around for ages and you can use it sparingly, for me I want that long lasting value, rather than buying something cheap, using it nonstop and not getting the desired results I crave.

I'm a bit concerned about the hair oils, I don't know if they will mix well with the shampoo or conditioner..

My hair and face are both combination dry and oily so products tend to be a pain because they have to be moisturising but not drown my surface at the same time.

I just realised I don't even know how to use it, is it supposed to be a style aid, where you apply it and leave it in??

Is it supposed to be used during the hair washing and then rinsed out??

My scalp is always dry, the rest of my hair is typically greasy, so anything with oil tends to overpower my hair and leave it flat.

That's why I avoid oils unless it's blended into the product so well that I hardly notice it.

I'm going to have to do some quick research, Youtube or Googly.

Alright I watched a Youtube video and read the back of the bottle on what to do.

The bottle says apply a generous amount and leave it overnight or for a few hours and then rinse it off.

I'm not going to apply a lot because, I know my hair won't like it.

The Youtube video suggested heating it up first, so you get that intensive conditioning treatment and so that it soaks in better and gives you a more pronounced result.

I wouldn't have considered that. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, my hair isn't due to be washed for a while.

But I do know that I'm probably never going to do those long treatments again because it just doesn't wash out properly and gives me a headache.

I'll let you know....
