#BlogLife824 - Pfft Who did I think I was, an engineer? Boiler is really broken now!

After the 3 sec fault that I reset it seemed to be fine, I had a long day yesterday of smooth functionality.

But today feeling the radiator and running the water, nothing. Ugh I knew the fix was too easy.

This time it said f75, which relates to a definite big fault, a leak or water pressure or something, according to Googly.

I can't avoid calling the engineer. I can't remember if I report it to the landlord or call the engineer directly.

Ahh it's the landlord that automatically transfers me. Well it was a nice chap that said the callout would be within 24 hours.

I don't know if it will be today or tomorrow but you know what, before they even asked I stated I was chronically ill.

If this is the only perk, priority treatment, then I am taking advantage of it.

It's the weekend and I am too stressed out to eat. If I remember correctly, thet text when you're the next customer, which is nice.

I tidied a lil bit but it still seems a lil messy. Now I know why I was bloated and extra tired.

I started my cycle yesterday and it's already stopped. I really hope it's not major, where they have to order supplies and it's another waiting game.

It's early just before 12pm. Please let it be a fixable, short solution so I can relax.

I wonder if I made it worse by doing the home remedy? I probably should have just called them, instead of faffing about myself.

It's not a toaster, it's a complicated boiler. Oh well, what is done is done and I can't change it.

Oh yea today is the last day of the month, just called up to pay my rent and the £50 extra to decrease the mysterious arrears that pop up randomly.

Pfft! If it's not one thing, it's another and even with the blankie over me, I'm frozen.

Well at 2.40pm I got a text to say I'm next, they are on the way.

Gosh within a minute or so he turned up. I swear engineers, are like mechanics.

The first thing they do is tut, suck in a breath and make you freak out, that this is the biggest disaster in the world.

Yeesh! Frankly I left him to it, it was just banging and more banging and then about 10 or 15 minutes later, I heard the radiator doing the familiar click.

He said something about low pressure, I think I heard a pump going and then another 5 minutes later, 20 altogether, he shouted to say, all done.

It was healed. Crikey, that was so good to hear and so fast too.

It will take a while to warm the place up but at least I can change and eat now.

I don't really know what I'm doing wrong, to have all these issues.

It's like it's not happy unless it's on 24-7. Yeesh talk about attention seeking appliances..

Again I'll just leave it on until about 8pm or 9pm to keep it smiling.

#BlogLife715 - New face brush?

Oof I've had the old face brush for 8 years now and it seems to die quickly so I'm wondering if I should invest in a newer one that's a lil more powerful.

I'm still not going to pay that much and I typically just stick to using the bristles head attachment.

I don't think I would pay more than £15, this current one was just over a tenner but I had a gift card and they seem to last ages.

I saw one for £6 with a ton off extras, like a pumice, massage, spongey heads but the review put me off when it said, the power was on the weaker side.

My face does feel a lot better from using it and afterwards I massaged in the moisturiser and felt even smoother.

When I first considered it, it seemed so frivolous. A face brush? Isn't that for fancy people?

I'm careful with money. Do I really need this? Isn't it a bit self indulgent?

It's not often I get the bad acne breakouts all over my face, I get some but usually they fade away by themselves.

As I said I don't like face beaded scrubs as it's too harsh but the brush gives me that exfoliation without disrupting my skin.

I do see the benefits of using it, really removes makeup, makes your skin glow.

It's relaxing to give yourself a face massage. If you're a busy person, you don't have to spend more than 5 minutes using it and you'll still look better.

I spend maybe 1 or 2 minutes, going around my face a few times and that's it.

I'm not in a hurry so I will take my time and look for something suitable that fits my needs.

Ooh got my stationary pens, I'm so glad they are darker than they looked, it will make writing cherrier.

I like the Jamaican patties sometimes, I loved the lamb version, that one stood out to me.

I wanted to like the chicken but didn't but I'm eating less beef, craving it less so I thought I would once again try the chicken and there was a vegetarian option too.

It's just pastry and filling, you can eat it hot or cold, I like room temperature.so it's less soggy.

I really wish the cramps would disappear. Nope tried them both and don't like them.

It's as though they mistook pepper for seasoning.

Ugh yesterday the bad luck came in triplicate. My wobbly front tooth fell out and now I just feel hideous on the outside too.

I lost my left contact lens but made the appointment for next week being the earliest they could see me.

Which means they will order the lens and I won't get it for a few weeks :(

Then the boiler breaking so I can't wash my hair but luckily I have the heated blankie and it's summer, not winter for once.

I called up and he asked if I was vulnerable? Umm I suppose I don't see myself that way so I just replied that I was long-term ill and he said alright, in 24hrs you'll be texted with the engineer appointment.

Everytime someone asks if I'm a priority customer, I keep waiting to be grilled lol.

Like, Oh Yea, really, prove it, come on, provide details, huh huh ha. I don't know why, that's the way my brain is.

So that will be sorted before the weekend I guess. I tried switching it off and on but that didn't help.

I found the Optician receptionist a bit rude. She said I wasn't due until November but I haven't been there in years.

It's like she didn't want to make the date so I had to elaborate that I had lost my left lens and can't see properly and that I don't have spares..

Then she reluctantly consented. Yeesh you're not a Doctor's assistant!!

Last night was quite funny, after me and J were texting all day, he called and we chatted for a few hours until 1am or 2am.

He was different to what I envisioned from the brief first chat we had.

I didn't realise he was American. I knew that he was younger, they all seem to be, but he didn't volunteer that information.

Oh lastly, the brow lady beautician wasn't there, the ugly caterpillar brows continue to cover my face :(

#BlogLife58 - I could slap the confidence out of you easily!

Good evening BlogFamily :)

My day has been weird. I got my tweezers and a complimentary nail file which will come in handy as I lost and then regained my old one.

I treated myself to some partially wonderful italian cuisine. Creamy chicken tagliatelle with vegetables. It just needed something extra, seasoning maybe?

Lemon juice? I'm not an expert but the sandwich with avocado was scrumptious. The best bit was dessert. I have never ever seen a bakewell tart in a rum baba style before.

It looked like a chunky doughnut with a glaze over it and a sweet cherry stuffing. I could only have a bit because I was bloated and full.

It was the best dessert I have tasted in ages though. I am not sure if it was made fresh but it was a work of art. I haven't tried the tweezers yet.

I'll add it to the review page I am working on. Now on to the rant portion. The volunteer place had technical issues over the weekend and today they said "Hey all, it's fixed."

"We won't bore you with the details." I had this inkling that it wasn't repaired. I waited and did other stuff and came on and at first the app wouldn't load and there was noone queueing.

Then the app came to life and people were lining up. All I saw were male names so I laughed and thought nope. I am not prepared for some guy to screw up my head today.

I waited and finally females were pouring in and I accepted only to find...... Boom, nothing displayed. I could not see any of their messages.

None of mine were showing up. I decided to check my phone's version and amazing. Messages were displayed. I apologised and tried to type and..... You guessed it.

Absolutely blank. It was not presenting itself on the screen. Every time I typed something, the app crashed. It took me 3/4 times to reply.

On the member side it was so laggy to read. I had to refresh and wait it for it to load and it was hell for someone that needed to talk.

The worse part was them showing gratitude, when I wanted to kick something and apologise for the problems. I couldn't even end the session properly.

I went to the company and vented and then promptly left lol. I heard back with the usual company line. Thanks for being patient etc etc but people are too mild mannered, someone needs to scream a bit.

Why does every company cheap out? Only doing the bare minimum, the most thrifty fix possible to paper over the cracks.

Why not just make an announcement and say hey folks. I want to apologise for the gremlins. We are going to take a fortnight and fix it properly and afterwards there will be no issues arising for you.

Instead of grinning and saying, all better, We kissed the ickle wickle boo boo and everything is back to normal.

I shall continue to roll my eyes until there is a suitable permanent fix in place.

Imagine feeling vulnerable and low, reaching out then connecting with someone and then being totally ignored! Grr

*slap slap slap*
