#BlogLife385 - Left ear trouble..

Song of the day - Daryl Hall/John Oates - Maneater

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRYFKcMa_Ek

October is quickly leaving us. Halloween and Guy Fawkes night are fast approaching. I love winter but I'm not keen on those holidays.

The fireworks look pretty but the noise and smoke always made me feel eerie and as you know I'm not into horror or anything creepy.

But for those of you who are, I hope you have a wonderful celebration and we are also in the midst of Diwale so triple good times.

My stomach is still up and down. One minute it is fine and the next minute, it's just upset.

All my headphones are driving me a bit crazy. I've had the Beats set that my mama gave me last Christmas for the longest and now they are wearing away at the cushion bit.

It just bugs me how much they randomly disconnect and that if you connect it to your phone before a call, it will just cut off as the call establishes itself..

Then you manually reset it each time ughhh! Why doesn't it just remain on and remember the volume setting instead of always being low.

Then the Q33 earbuds are no longer lasting all night and I have finally had to start fiddling with the button controls on the right one as it seems stuck on the lowest sound.

Everytime I try to adjust it, the left one says maximum volume, ugh, pipe down righty, nobody is talking to you.

It just doesn't want to rectify itself. I use this set as it has the longest battery and is comfortable but I might switch to the other one and see if that is any better.

I've just worked out it's faulty. I waited until the left one died and maneuvered the sound to maximum and it's still low so that set is useless, if you want sound in both ears. Grr

I'm waiting on the postie to see if he has my phone stand yet. Even before the strikes, the delivery times were lapse.

It's nearly 2pm and still no post. It used to be 9am, what happened to that service?

Maybe I missed him.. Ooh I found some new mobile games. I have noticed that the resolution seems crisper and higher quality than my previous phone.

I'm not sure why the silly screen keeps locking when I've switched off that feature. Grr and I worked out how to disable voicemails.

There is Detective Masters where you're solving simple crimes, interrogating, finding objects and such. Simple but entertaining and you can play it offline.

Carmen Stories - Detective game with a solitaire game and clues along the way. I was hoping this had a mixture of different puzzles. It's dull after a spell.

Oh and I thought I would give Scrabble Go another shot. I love word games, it keeps my brain sharp.

Plus just switch off wifi to avoid the adverts where possible. They are super long and annoying and can barely be clicked off.

Ahh Scopely, the same makers, who came up with Looney Tunes, have changed the rules. You cannot use the app without wifi anymore. Drat.

The players have slightly increased brain functions, not all of them use 2/3 letter words constantly and overlap so that I can spread out words and open the board.

They have added a play against the computer and that is a real challenge. It's a bit too addictive though so I've switched off my phones.

I've just recently broken out in hormonal pimples all over my face ugh. I'm trying to use the face brush and they are slowly lessening but I hate looking bumpy.

Oh and not looking forward to tomorrow. A long day of two meetings, spaced apart. One in the morning and another in the afternoon but that means probably no naps.

I don't normally schedule 2 together but I didn't have much choice.

#BlogLife244 - Chew on this..

I just bought and tried out Iceland's hi fi cereal bars. They aren't often in stock and they released a new flavour, peanut butter, one of my favourites in confectionary goodies.

I thought there would be a thin strip of chocolate but there wasn't. It wasn't overly sweet, just a bit chewy and a delicious amount of nuts and slight caramel blended together.

It's really yummy. I would definitely get it again. It actually reminds me of the Tracker bars I was obsessed with.

For lunch I thought I would do something different. I bought some beef meatballs and I'm going to layer them on a pizza sub to make a tasty sandwich.

I don't think Iceland sell olives or I would have purchased them also. The shopping arrived nearly an hour late but I was up and ready. I could have had an extra hours sleep though.

They are doing this promotion at the moment so I have won some free Easter sweets or chocolates from it. I might try the Ferrero tablet, I've only ever sampled the eggs.

I don't really have any food cravings apart from KFC. I'm still waiting for my fitted sheet to arrive but that's gonna be sometime next week.

I was hoping to get it today but he just posted it last night :( I hope it isn't delivered on Tuesday because I won't be here. Please don't leave it with the neighbours, ugh!!

Just polished off the sub and burnt my mouth a few times because it smelled so good but it was lush. The meatballs cooked surprisingly quick, I thought they would take ages.

Maybe because they were miniatures? After 10ish minutes they were completely cooked, my oven is pretty powerful though, so that could be the reason.

Aww another set of headphones are to be trashed. The JBL which lasted me... 5 whole months. Grr the bit near the ear cup snapped so they don't sit properly on my ears.

I'll get another one in the shops or in Amazon, I haven't decided with the latter there is sure to be a discount. Or I suppose I could check ebay..

#Bloglife207 - Blinded by sauce

I was having tagliatelle beef and veggy pasta. I know I know, pasta again? I'm shameless but it's the one thing I never get fed up with.

I stuck the fork in to do the twirly fancy pants style and the sauce squirted into my left eye and over the laptop.

It wasn't burning and my eyes weren't flooding with tears but it did sting until I flushed my eyes.

I don't think that has every happened before. The dangers of eating food.

I am a menace, purely accidentally of course. My six month old headphones broke, the band snapped.

Joyroom they were called and that's probably standard for me. I'm lucky if they last a whole year.

The good news is I get to try out the Beats set, the Christmas red pair I received.

So far they are super comfortable. I don't think they work too far from the connected base though.

When I was in the kitchen, they disconnected. I have been using them all day and are still at 90% so far so good.

They connected easily but it's always tricky with the multiple pairings, that takes a while of connecting and unpairing to get them both to work.

A strange thing is happening with the calls. I pre connect the headphones for calls and media.

I test it out on songs and it's fine but on the call itself, even though it says connected, no sound comes out of the headphones, only the phone.

Frustrating me a bit. I made sure it wasn't connected to any other device, it should work.

Maybe I am missing something but I can't think what....

It takes two hours to charge fully and the battery lasted a day and a half with heavy usage.

#BlogLife117 - JRH16 Headphones review

I would normally post this on Amazon but for this product, I think they have completely stop accepting them and that is because there is a site that used to be called Amz Reviews..

https://www.myvipon.com/index.php

Who is now named Vipon where you can browse for products and get a significant discount to use on Amazon, in exchange for a truthful review.

It used to be much better, by the fact that a lot of premium items were completely free and as long as they were over £20, you wouldn't have to pay postage either.

I got an electric toothbrush. Various beauty items like cleansers. Beautiful, high quality maxi dresses for a fraction of their worth and so forth..

You apply the code at the checkout and it just varies from half price to a couple pounds off to most of it reduced. Most of the time the codes work and they go lightning fast so if you are after something, check in the mornings.

The headphones were priced at £30. I had £15 off with the code. Plus I had £10 Amazon credit and had just redeemed £5 from Mistplay. Making it free :)

Some people are still so grateful for the deal that they hide the negative aspects. I do not because when I read feedback, I like the good and bad points.

I wasn't even sure if this could connect to multiple devices but I just tried it on my chromebook and Samsung A41 phone and it worked without incident.

The name that will come up is JR H16. To turn off the bright light on the headphones, just press the volume buttons down together and you will see the light go off. After using it for 18 hours I had 40% left on the battery.

Then I stuck it on the charger which took roughly an hour and a half to 2 hours to fully restore. Compared to other headphones the battery drains really quickly, it's hard to believe it's long life.

However I had been keeping the light on, so I'll do a new test and see if lasts more than half a day.

They are comfortable at first but after time passes, they start to feel tender on the ears. Also they have the smallest ear cups I have owned for a while. I'm not sure if that will make the sound leak.

I have the black version as I am not bothered about the colour. These arrived lightning fast on the basic free delivery.

I ordered them on a Thursday and the next day they showed up in the afternoon. I was surprised but during non holidays, Amazon does deliver quite quickly.

I bought these to replace another cheap set I bought on Ebay that refused to connect to bluetooth and the sound was horribly distorted. I find Amazon has better overall quality.

I'll be using these for music mainly, some videos and possibly the occasional phone call, although the quality always seems poor for calls. I haven't attempted that yet but I'll try and add the result when I do.

When you plug it in to the charger there is a red light and when it is fully renewed, the light disappears and you can remove it. It came with the usual usb cord and the wire to plug it in and use it without bluetooth, if that is your preference.

The only negative I see so far is that when I pause and resume a video, the sound doesn't reconnect straight away, so I lose a few seconds, I haven't experienced that before. Also I have just checked the call quality.

I can hear the person clearly but the person listening to me on the other end says I sound a lot worse and unclear compared to how I sounded before when I wasn't connected on the headphones.
