#BlogLife758 - What to munch?

I was looking to see if there were any new interesting shows to watch and something caught my eye, High Potential.

It's an old recycled theme, of the brilliant amateur stumbling across a crime scene and instinctively knowing more than they should.

It looks fun though, plus some familiar stars are in it, Judy Reyes from scrubs, the guy that had a cameo in Sex and The City.

I just finished watching the Pilot, it's pretty good. Oh that's what it reminds me of, Erin Brockovich.

I just tried to open a packet of cashews and it won't tear properly, so I ripped both ends and it's stuck ha.

I will just get the scissors and cut it open, yeesh, everything that is supposed to be simple, it's tricky.

When I bought the Chinese the other day, that's the first time I had seen the pancakes sold on their own.

I think that's the same as what Hindu's called puri, a really thin dry roti type bread but it's very tasty.

I typically used to see it at the Poojas, which was like a big religious party gathering, with prayers and family and lots of food.

It was always a very smart dress code and probably an all day thing.

I think it was paired with pumpkin or maybe curry or both? Oh shoot, I have the wrong name.

I just Googly wooglied it and no the picture isn't the same. Puris were mini thick and yellow breads.

This was white and thin. I give up, there is a particular name but my brain is fried.

Anyway, these pancakes I got were not seasoned at all, they were tasteless.

I always remember the other ones being really yummy. Well sorry about that, I'm confusing myself at this point.

I got some new things to try.. The club mint chocolate bar, isn't that great either.

The Terry''s mint crisps are tasty, that's a proper sweet tasting mint.

I also saw Nashville hash brown chicken fries, which looked fun, 400g for £4, pricey.

Mini potato pops for £1, not sure what those are, mini potatoes or something more seasoned?

Then because the Gullon is out of stock or discontinued, I saw Gourmet garlic crackers 185g for £1.

I got some hummus and the onion and garlic as dips. Oh the other thing I spotted was Maoam fruit and cola chewy sweets, 140g for £1.25.

At least it will be an interesting experimental weekend. What are you upto?

Alright I get it, none of my beeswax. I hope it's a chilled weekend for you :)

#BlogLife297 - The soft egg debate

I was randomly talking to someone and of course the topic of food was broached. I can't remember by who, but it was probably me.

I was saying I prefer crispy fried eggs as opposed to the other versions. There is scrambled, poached, boiled, benedict etc.

I won't list them all as I would probably forget some. I don't even know what some of them mean. Too much googling.

He prefers scrambled on toast with mushrooms which is not appealing. I don't mind scrambled but I draw the line at mushrooms, not a huge fan.

Having tried eggs with avocados I would definitely add that to the mix instead or maybe turkey bacon or possibly fruit.

I do have a weakness for berries in particular, they are not dry or bitter but full of interesting flavours, unless they aren't fresh.

I might not even have toast, maybe a hearty bagel or a croissant or half a baguette. I guess it would depend on how famished I was at what time of the day it happened to be.

When I was lil, we did have a mixture but I remember most prominently we all had soft boiled eggs with cut up strips of toast soldiers.

I think it tended to be a plateful of maybe sausages, beans. I hate to confess but before I knew what it was...... Black pudding too.

Good gravy my taste buds must have been dead back then. Anyway it was also fun dipping into the egg held in a cute lil egg cup.

I don't even think I was that keen on eating it afterwards, just enjoyed the dousing, which always ended too soon for my liking.

I'm curious about who would be on my side..... Team fried and who would be on his side? Team scrambled? Boo hiss, inferior team. Grins..

I'll leave you with a new favourite pun....

I'm eggs-hausted :D

#BlogLife268 - I'm Kravey? Well you're nuts!

I bit the bullet and bought the Krave chocolate hazelnut "cereal." It has a light soft biscuit coating and it's delicious.

It is however tiny, the box image makes it seem like it is huge but it's very small pieces but they are not stingy with the filling and you taste chocolate hazelnut in each bite.

I don't find it dry as I would expect. i don't buy milk so I have cereal on the few times that I purchase it, on it's own or with strawberry fat free yoghurt.

I've tried greek yoghurt and that is sublime but still too sweet. I've tried plain yoghurt too but I just like my strawberry flavours.

I also bought the Crunchy Nut Granola with the chocolate pieces, as I was really craving chocolate sweetness and the offer was 2 for £5 and I know this will last me ages.

I've never seen the pre-made chapattis in Iceland before, Mission is the brand and I am not familiar with them so I thought I would try it and use it as a wrap.

Thankfully it's wholemeal but that also tends to be very dry and I've only ever loved the Asda version which seemed the most authentic out of all of them.

I would definitely recommend it, it's yummy. This time I didn't heat it up, just cooked the chicken and added some sweet chilli, plus some cheese and it was perfect.

The other one I put beef meatballs and cheese, then topped it with sweet chilli and it was quite fulling. There are 6 in a pack and it cost £1 which is great value.

I didn't find it dry or paper thin, it had weight to it, was a great medium size and it didn't fall apart. I just had to roll them and flip them over so that they stay wrapped.

I decided to try and put it on the panini maker to toast it a bit but it had difficulty browning so I switched off the press and left it but what happened was it became brittle and hard and snapped.

These taste less like traditional rotis and more like wraps. I ended up having to force it to fold like a taco ha :D

#BlogLife264 - Made up Cakeaholism

Hello my name is SS and I am a Cakeaholic. I just got back home and have decided to bump today's post in favour of this one as my senses are still reeling from the foodgasm.

I did intend to get a few bits and pieces like tablecloths, cleaning cloths, cutlery and I have no idea what else but I felt a bit dizzy and tender so I just skipped all that and went into my favourite market instead.

I spotted some green olive crackers and bought the black olive variation too, Bonta Lucane is the brand and they are amazing. The green version is lighter and equally as tasty.

I think that would suit more of a cheesy dip, rather than the hummus pairing but it's still lush and because I slept and felt rested, I did my hair and makeup properly.

Oh how I have missed applying foundation and eyeshadow, pretending I have flawless skin. I went dark and light purply today.

My hair was in a ponytail but I left some side fringey bits out and I do feel cute today.

I wore a red and black criss cross top coupled with plain grey trousers and black booties. None of my parcels came today, which I am happy about as I would have missed them all.

The funny thing is I did see a courier truck passing but thank goodness it didn't turn into my street.

I'm having chocolatey nutty cravings but because they were stocking the shelves, I couldn't be bothered to try and squeeze past so I left that section and looked down and there it was...

Accasa branded Butoiase Barrel cakes. Good heavens as soon as you remove the packaging you are going to be hit in the face with the alcohol scent but also the sweetness.

I thought the Armandine cakes that were akin to Baileys were outstanding, these are even better. It's two types, one is like a swiss roll but hearty gooey, melt in the mouth, expensive ingredients.

The other is.. Hmm.. I suppose you could compare it to a victoria sponge but a million times better. It's like you've stepped into a speciality cake shop and it's fresh and made in front of you.

But this is all pre-packaged and for a good sized portion. There were 4 swiss roll types and 6 of the other sponge.

I just came back from the kitchen, intending to count and completely forgot and now I'm too tired to move.

My parcels said they've now been despatched so I'm thinking tomorrow or Thursday. I have the tracking numbers but I can't be bothered to look and if they turn up today, I'm home now and available but I doubt it.

#BlogLife258 - Don't be a dick and dictate!!

Oops I slept through my 2 alarms. I normally awaken hours before but I slept at 2amish and woke up at 7ish not too surprising that I didn't get up.

At least I managed to freshen up before Iceland arrived. No time to properly dress or put my lenses on but it could have been worse.

I could have missed both deliveries entirely. The Amazon one isn't out for delivery but was despatched yesterday.

A trifle worrying as Rush shipping wasn't available and it's somehow coming by Logistics instead of speedy Prime.

Ooh I'm somewhat calmer, at 10.47 it stated it was out for delivery and arriving roughly between 2pmish to 6pmish.

Woo about 4.20pmish the courier knocked and ran ha but it's delivered and I'm too tired to unpack it and sort it out, tomorrow I can figure what goes where..

To be honest, I still haven't opened the parcel. I was and still am feeling a bit rough. It must be PMT. The cramps and nausea are making my stomach flip flop.

I have discovered some shows that I could easily get into, one is Scandal, it's a tiny bit like leverage, a bit blackmaily but more political and lawyery lol.

The other one is The Closer, this sugar obsessed boss taking over and stepping into a man's world who isn't appreciated but she's a brilliant investigator.

Kinda reminds me of Bones, but less forensics and more interviews and inner conflicts.

A really dumb thing happened over the weekend. I had a falling out with one of the other gamers of Looney Tunes because I wouldn't fall at my knees, bow and follow his strategy.

He got really angry with me and said he would no longer talk to me over it, which in turn made me just scoff, laugh and think screw you then!

I wished him well and then rolled my eyes and the next day he tags me like nothing happened. I don't like any drama, even the petty kind so I am laying low from discord for a bit.

Oh and I had a pleasant surprise and got my olive fix after all, in the form of these olive crackers from Italy.

I swear every time I enter that international store, I discover a new treat. I really didn't expect them to have such a strong delicious taste but they are well seasoned.

Some I had on their own and the others I dipped into the hummus. I would definitely recommend it and I meant to copy down the name and forgot.

The other one was far too salty and it was okay but not as yummy.

#BlogLife254 - Outlandish behaviour

I've just gotten into a new show, Outlander, which is fairly old actually. It's not for the faint hearted, a lot of scenes I have to mute and skip through because certain things just turn my stomach.

For examples because it's oldy-worldy time travel, there are scenes of whipping, assault, torture and mutilation. Oof the dialogue at times is just too graphic but aside from that, it also has 2 parallel love stories that are quite endearing and funny.

It's a running joke that everytime he leaves her alone, she wanders off and gets into mischief. There's a spanking scene which I don't know, should be disturbing but I was howling with laughter.

It's barbaric as are the general punishments for theft and alsorts but her reactions are priceless. Good for them having a huge age difference.

He looks 10 years younger at least than her. There is a lot of excessive nudity, where there doesn't need to be any.

The first season has been the most captivating, season 2 and 3 seem a lil dull in comparison, it's still watchable but I skip some bits of it.

It's been an exhausting day, I got home late, hence the tardy upload. I bought some chicken alfredo and so glad my tum has now stopped heaving.

Ugh it's a good job I topped up my oyster card there was 15p left lol. I was gonna get some fresh olives but the price was £7.50 for I don't know how much, so I left it.

I was in no mood to carry a jar. I also picked up some nuts and seeds to graze on and to go with my hummus, I saw these dried crackers from italy.

One is pesto basil and the other is olives, which should be tasty if they aren't too salty. I think it was 80p each, I'm not sure.

I am so stuffed so the sampling will have to wait until tomorrow or later.

#BlogLife246 - Unwanted

I just got back from the market and ordered some sandwiches and these fruity nutty bars. Ok full confession I also got the hazelnut truffles because they are quite tasty.

I am all out of shampoo so I bought the Mane N Tail Provitamin B5 Deep Moisture shampoo for £3ish. It's 355ml so should last me a month or so.

It's green inside and sweet. I don't know why that bubble gum scent is always present at first but thankfully soon fades away :)

When I try it out properly, I'll let you know. I just washed my hair so it won't be for a while as now I have my leave in conditioner I don't wash it as much.

I also bought what I thought was a small face flannel but turns out to be tiny towel. They didn't have many nice shades so I just opted for the honey colour.

I did ask if it was a face flannel and was told Yes. Hmm, not so much but it will do, it was only £1.50 and feels relatively softer than my previous version.

I also spotted some Maynard Bassetts Sports Mix jelly sweets. I really hope they are not like jelly babies, can't stand those. However if they are akin to wine gums then they'll be deliciouso.

I forgot to buy cheese at Iceland so I saw some cheddar but no mild sadly which is my preference and no mini cooked chicken fillets.

I don't think I've ever seen mozzarella in a sliced version so I picked that up too. I also got some blue slippers. I'll wear one when cleaning and the other to walk about it.

I've finished my monthly but I feel as nauseated and bloated as ever. I do wish the symptoms would stop being before, during and after. Grr.

It's extremely difficult not to gag, knowing you have to cover your face and not feel deprived of oxygen which is what you desperately need not to vomit.

I cheated again with my hair. It wouldn't comply so I stuck it in a tight bun. One day I'll find something fun to do with it.

Oh and I checked my mailbox and typical, there was a missed parcel note. Grr. I'll just have it redelivered for Thursday. I'm sure I just missed him as it's usually around lunchtime I see him.

Ooh I tried out the sweets and they are like mini wine gums, yum, I also tried out egg and avocado which I have never sampled before, that is almost as good as chicken.

No wonder that combination is so popular, also pesto and chicken was scrumptious. Pret really is my favourite, sandwich wise, fresh and different.

Ugh I've restarted my period. I don't know why but sometimes it does happen twice in one month but not for ages, it had really settled down.

I'm back to listening to the binaural beats to help calm it. That works better than any pill from the quack doctors.

I'm sick of sleeping in hair bobbles and it itching my scalp because it's too tight and then loosens itself. I decided to use clips to pin it up as it's so short now and it mostly worked.

I didn't feel any irritation or discomfort and aside from a wisp at the side, it all held together really well. I love these clips, just plain slightly larger hair slides but they have a strong grip.

#BlogLife244 - Chew on this..

I just bought and tried out Iceland's hi fi cereal bars. They aren't often in stock and they released a new flavour, peanut butter, one of my favourites in confectionary goodies.

I thought there would be a thin strip of chocolate but there wasn't. It wasn't overly sweet, just a bit chewy and a delicious amount of nuts and slight caramel blended together.

It's really yummy. I would definitely get it again. It actually reminds me of the Tracker bars I was obsessed with.

For lunch I thought I would do something different. I bought some beef meatballs and I'm going to layer them on a pizza sub to make a tasty sandwich.

I don't think Iceland sell olives or I would have purchased them also. The shopping arrived nearly an hour late but I was up and ready. I could have had an extra hours sleep though.

They are doing this promotion at the moment so I have won some free Easter sweets or chocolates from it. I might try the Ferrero tablet, I've only ever sampled the eggs.

I don't really have any food cravings apart from KFC. I'm still waiting for my fitted sheet to arrive but that's gonna be sometime next week.

I was hoping to get it today but he just posted it last night :( I hope it isn't delivered on Tuesday because I won't be here. Please don't leave it with the neighbours, ugh!!

Just polished off the sub and burnt my mouth a few times because it smelled so good but it was lush. The meatballs cooked surprisingly quick, I thought they would take ages.

Maybe because they were miniatures? After 10ish minutes they were completely cooked, my oven is pretty powerful though, so that could be the reason.

Aww another set of headphones are to be trashed. The JBL which lasted me... 5 whole months. Grr the bit near the ear cup snapped so they don't sit properly on my ears.

I'll get another one in the shops or in Amazon, I haven't decided with the latter there is sure to be a discount. Or I suppose I could check ebay..

#BookLife4 - Shenanigans with a shifty chef (fiction)

Chapter 1

I drum my fingers waiting for him to arrive. I thought I was bad, but he takes the cake. I am beginning to wonder if I adore him or his picnic basket the most?

I can't stay mad at him though. He is always apologetic and treats me like no other man has ever or probably will ever again.

I scan around the crowded coffee shop. Cutlery and plates are clunking on tables. People are talking softly and enjoying their feast.

Waitresses are smiling to each other and gossiping. It has now been twenty minutes and just like that my phone buzzes. I shake my head and pick it up.

"Mmmhmmm I see, on your way? Will be here before I know it? The car wouldn't start? Uh huh. See you soon.." I grin and sigh just as the waitress gives me a sympathetic look and pats my hand.

She probably assumes I've been stood up. It has occurred once or twice so it isn't entirely unfathomable. "Yes please a top up would be great."

Chapter 2

I pull down my sleeves and cinch in my coat a bit more. Now that winter is upon us, it is quite chilly. I close my eyes and sip my hot chocolate with flake sprinkles and a dash of whipped cream on top.

There is even a whisper of Armagnac in the cocoa and I feel warm and slightly buzzed on my second cup. Somebody grabs my drink and tastes it.

I look up and smile. He is finally here. He made it after all. He lowers his head to kiss me softly on the lips and says..... "Yum, you smell and taste terrific."

I wish I could stay perturbed at his triggery perpetual tardiness but his grin has me beaming up at him. I look at his dark black hair with flecks of white snow sprinkled around it.

"No wonder you had problems with you car. I didn't realise it had begun snowing. "Mmmhmm, I don't think it's been falling for that long as it has settled yet."

"We should get out of here though, I have to scrap the surprise I planned for us but there is an alternative for my minx."

I blush and hope noone heard that pet name. I didn't mind it but it sounded racier than I actually would ever be. Tizinski paid for the drinks and then took my hand.

I looked down at our interlaced fingers. It had never felt this natural before, to be so instantly comfortable being touchy-feely and affectionate for a man I barely knew.

This was only the third get together but anyone looking at us would assume we have been dating for months. I was determined not to get ahead of myself, slow and steady wins the relationship race..

Tizinski opened the shop/car door for me and I smiled. It was little touches like this, that made me feel like a lady. "Thanks, where are we going?"

Chapter 3

"Claudia, will you let me surprise you for once, you are always so eager that I end up spilling the secret. "Just sit back in this toasty car and let me whisk you away to paradise."

We both eyed each and laughed. Tizinski had been really sweet so far and hadn't pressured me at all. All we had done was kiss, hug and hold hands together.

I kept waiting for evil pervy Tizinski to appear but so far so good. I would just relish his company for now. "You are entirely too quiet my lovely."

"Are you thinking good thoughts about me or bad ones?" Tizinski's ability to cut into my thoughts was slightly unnerving but I grinned back and let him make up his own conclusion.

"Hmm I'll pry it out of you later but for now I guess we'll just have to head to my place, won't we?" I coughed as alarm bells went off in my head.

Oh crikey, this was the third date. What if he expected something physical to happen? Tizinski knowingly grabbed my hand.

"You can relax. I have no intention of jumping on you, this is just going to be another simple date with great home cooked food and the best company a man could hope for."

"We shall sit, eat, curl up and that will be the extent of it and anytime you want to leave. I'll drive you, okay honey?" I felt guilty for always jumping to the worst case scenario.

Tizinski had been a complete gentleman but my history with men was scary and I felt better being reassured a bit. I reached over and kissed him on the cheek, wiping away the dark cherry lipgloss on his face.

"That was unexpected but very much appreciated. Look in the glove box, I bought you something, open it." I chuckled. "Why would you do that?"

"We haven't been dating that long, you shouldn't have wasted your money on me." Tizinski nodded. "I know but open it, I can't wait any longer."

Time to put my poker face on. What if I hated it? It's the thought that counts. I gingerly tried to unwrap a small package but it was basically all sellotape and when I shot a look at Tizinski..

He blushed. "Sorry I guess I got carried away making sure it was sealed tightly." I kissed him again on the cheek, shaking my head and wondering if I needed a knife to cut through this wrapping.

Eventually I found an opening and a box shot out and fell on the floor. Tizinski cursed and we both scrambled to pick it up even though it had now been pushed to the back.

I waited until we stopped at the traffic lights and then quickly unbuckled my seatbelt, grabbed it with as much dignity as I could manage and then refastened my belt.

Tizinski and I cracked up again. I popped it into my bag as soon we were pulling up to his place. He grabbed the bags and opened my door for me.

I bit my lip and thought if the worst happens I can run out. It's not like I drink heavily anymore, I won't be dizzy unless he spikes my drink.

I took a deep breath to steady my breathing. He put his arm around me and we walked ahead. I just need to breathe and stay calm.

Whatever happens I can take care of myself. My frazzled mind was soothed and I stepped into his place not knowing what to expect.

Chapter 4

I had never been here before and scanned the hallway as Tizinski helped me off with my jacket.

It was mostly neat and tidy with a stack of books on a nearby table and a notebook.

He hung my jacket on the hook and escorted me inside a spacious lounge.

There were heavy blue drapes neatly tied back a range of purply blues on all the walls.

The fireplace was soon crackling with a roaring fire and a safety guard to stop it getting messy.

Tizinski scurried off to the kitchen and I traced the books on the shelf and looked around haphazardly at a neat but lived in lounge.

Just like me, he lived alone with no pets so the place was quiet, aside from the traffic outdoor from cars whizzing by and cars being honked.

He reappeared smiling and I coyly took out the pretty red wrapped box, I had pushed into my bag prior.

At last I found an opening and tore the wrapper, which dismantled the whole tape mismash.

Inside was an even prettier violet box with a professionally looking pink bow tied around it.

I looked up shyly and inquisitively, wondering what on earth it contained inside.

Tiz looked nervous now and I grinned. I gently placed the box in Tiz's hand, snapped a picture with my phone to capture the moment and then delicately unravelled the present.

I gasped at what I saw inside. It was a stunning red butterfly brooch. It appeared to be sterling silver and had sparkling gem stones on the wings.

I was complaining that a few of my cardigans and wraps, needed pinning but I kept forgetting to buy a brooch to hold it together.

"Wow, you actually paid attention, when I talked? Thank you, it's really thoughtful and gorgeous."

Tiz finally beamed in relief. "Phew for a moment there, I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice or not."

I looked down at the gift. I was kinda stunned he would go to so much trouble for a girl he barely knew.

What was the catch with him? There had to be some huge flaw? Or why was he still available?

I shook my head sternly. I was being ungrateful. He did a lovely thing and I should count my blessings.

Dang I was so used to awful boyfriends that I didn't seem to recognise someone genuine, even if he was standing right in front of me.

"Do you honestly like it because you're scowling and now I'm just confused?"

I hugged Tiz. "Sorry my head just had something unpleasant pop in and it shook off my good mood."

"Hmm, what was that?"

Chapter 5

I shifted uneasily. "To be honest, I'm just not used to being treated this way, a guy considering my feelings and doing nice things for me."

"I'm still getting used to it but I appreciate all that you do for me."

Tiz nodded, although he didn't smile. I wondered if his patience was wearing thin.

"Can I help with anything or are you all organised as usual?" I figured changing the subject would be a good idea.

"Tiz smiled once more and I relaxed. "My dear, everything is well at hand."

"Make yourself comfortable on the sofa. Stay out of my kitchen, if you know what's good for you and I shall return shortly with a blanket, drinks and nibbles."

I shivered, not only because I hadn't warmed up yet but the blankie gave me a mini cause for concern.

I really just need to take him at his word. I leaned back, grateful he hadn't asked me to sit on the floor.

I hadn't divulged my health issues completely but he knew something was up.

Tiz returned in seconds with a cordless heated black fluffy blanket and I breathed a sigh of relief as the chill, finally seemed to fade.

"Umm Tiz, I'm grateful but I don't want to spill crumbs on your cute blankie. Maybe we should leave it to one side, until after we've munched?"

Tiz crinkled his eyes with warmth. "You really do worry too much. If it gets messy, I'll just throw it in the washing machine."

"I'll be back in a moment." I pulled the blankie up and then thought I was being a tad too spoilt..

I pushed down the blankie and headed to the kitchen to help out. Tiz always cooked and paid.

The least I could do was assist him, carrying the food, or anything else he required.

I stopped short. My mouth was open with a greeting but the sight I saw before me, had me blinking in bewilderment.

"What the hell Tiz??" I swear he jumped a foot in the air. "I....Ummm didn't even hear you come in."

"I told you to wait in the lounge." I scoffed. "You liar."

Chapter 6

The sight before me had me shaking my head and waggling my finger.

"You sneaky, underhanded.. I marched forward and shoved him in the arm."

Tiz held up his hands and grinned but with mock sincerity, said "Okay, you busted me."

"I can't actually cook this well so I sorta, kinda, bought the goods from the market and passed it off as my own creation."

"You just seemed to be so into my cooking and were so impressed that I kept up the charade."

"Is there anything else you want to confess while we are being frank?"

"You see, this is another reason. Your trust issues, now all my brownie points have gone out the window, for this one white lie."

"Don't you turn this back on me buster. I haven't misled you. I didn't say I only dated chefs. I just thought desserts are tricky to make so when you did it effortlessly. I was thrilled."

"I didn't intend to take the credit but the first time when you assumed I had made it from scratch. I just found myself nodding and agreeing with you."

Tiz put his arms around my waist. "I know it was a dumb thing to lie about. I just wanted to make a good first impression."

The wheels were turning inside my head. Dishonesty has to be punished..

"I'm really disappointed in you. This has set our relationship back and I'm not sure I can trust you anymore."

I gingerly reached behind him. Just a lil bit further... Aha I got it.

I picked up the moist baileys cake that I had loved so much with the zigzag iced topping made of ganache and smushed it in Tiz's face giggling.

"That is what you get for deceiving me. I hope you've learned your lesson."

Tiz raised his eyebrow dangerously. I stepped back and squealed as he mashed the chocolate cake in my face.

"That's what you get for forgiving me too easily." I grinned evilly. "Who says I forgive you?"

Tiz chuckled, traced the chocolate frosting from my lips and bent down to kiss me sweetly.

"I'll just have to keep smooching you until you do." He wrapped both his arms around my back tugging me until I was pressed against him."

Looking at me intently. "Despite what your brain is telling you. I'm not like your other boyfriends."

"I intend to treat you like the foodie Queenie you are!"

The end.

**I hope you enjoyed reading it. These lil side story projects are fun. The oddball mini creations.

In between the heavier wattpad stories.

#BlogLife182 - Pork sausage alternates

I was craving hotdog's and Iceland seems to be all out of the chicken sausages so I looked at the veggy ones and didn't realise Richmond did their version of it.

I have tried the chicken type from Richmond's and quite love those but never seen this version.

I read the reviews and they were mostly good a few negatives of course.

What caught my eye was someone remarking they tasted like meat and that cemented it for me and I added it to the basket.

I just like them to have some proper seasoning and flavour and having just tried it, there is a hint of beef flavour and it's quite tasty,

I would say a medium size and I would purchase it again. The tesco meat free sausages were a favourite and then I tried Fry's take on it and those are sublime but not as good.

The fry's variation reminds me of tesco meat free sausages, only not as good. They have less taste.

As you know, I'm not a vegetarian but I don't mind trying out vegetarian or vegan alternatives.

It's fun seeing what I can add to meals. I mostly eat chicken, beef and sometimes salmon so nice to have something different.

I will just say even if it is vegetarian food, cook it well to get the maximum flavour. I did mine for about 20 minutes.

#BlogLife175 - Chatty chicks watching flicks

I'm not sure if I'll make this into a series but I felt like a movie review/ramble, less focused post today.

I just finished watching A Castle For Christmas which was a funny romcom for anyone looking for something less serious to while away the time.

It stars Cary Elwes and Brooke Shields, even Drew Barrymore has a cameo, which was cute.

I think I feel especially excited when the main character is a writer. I feel like I'll get some insights on how to suddenly be an advanced more intriguing storyteller.

Brooke's character has a public meltdown and writer's block so decides to take off and explore a castle, where her father grew up.

Then she meets the cranky pants owner and trouble ensues.... I'm not saying anymore, check it out, if you like.

The name of the snacks I am addicted to are called Przysnacki and there is a cheese version and more of a cheese and onion flavour.

I think I love these due to the lack of excess salt. They are quite crunchy and possess the hybridness of a cheeto and wotsit marriage blend.

I skipped November's period and if you're wondering why I'm obsessed about it.

I'm relieved I skipped a month but I just wonder where in December I'll start.

It's just never been typical so if I actually had a period, early November, you would think I would start in early December but nopeeeee.

It's just whenever it feels like coming on or I could skip another month.

I'm sure two months is the longest I have ever gone without a period since I started.

I'm not sure how to say this tactfully but I may have discovered a new blog today which is exciting after searching for this long.

I don't have time to read it some more but what I did was intriguing and made me want to find out more.

It highlights the major differences between talking to someone who is also having health issues and someone that is totally healthy and without this to deal with in their daily life.

Some people want to understand or support but more often than not, they say the most damaging things ever.

That is where some of my anger comes from. People not taking me seriously and dismissing my valid concerns.

It's a depressing burden to not feel heard when trying to explain, that I am unable to do this or that.

I am made to feel like this drama queen or a spotlight hog desperate for special attention but I am neither.

The only thing that would have been nice is some respect and to make allowances because I will never be the same as you.

I need different things so that I can do what you take for granted every day.

I can't manage but you can! That's the difference between us. I have to think carefully before I undertake a task but you can just do it without any conscious thought about how it will unfold.

I much prefer being out alone as opposed to with people because I can walk at a slow pace and let my body chill, whereas someone else is scurrying along, rushing for the bus/car.

It never once occurs to them, there is a reason I am walking behind them and lingering, possibly pausing every few steps because the pain is unbearable and I need a rest.

For that reason I never feel I can say, hold up or can you slow down please because nobody has the decency to check up and ask......

Hey, are you doing alright? I know being outdoors is no picnic for you, do you need anything?

#BlogLife167 - Picky pasta/noodle preferences updating

As winter is settling in and the days are getting chillier. I grabbed a few different brands of pasta pots to try out.

I don't have hot drinks loaded with sugar so this is an alternative to warm me up from the insides.

I have just tried for the first time Soba Yakitori Chicken for a £1. It smelled good. It came with free soy sauce I guess it was. A tiny packet but adequate.

I mostly filled it with water, do not drown it completely, otherwise it will spill over and they recommend three minutes in the microwave but I have found four works better.

Mix it thoroughly and then put it in for that extra minute helps it to cook properly. I then let it stand for a few minutes and it was done.

It was nice, it had seasoning and flavour to it but I have had a lot better. I don't think I would buy it again, I'm sure there are better versions out there.

To date my favourites are Batchelor Macaroni and Cheese which is probably now discontinued. This version was in an Americany style box and it was delicious.

They then cheaped out and did a pot version and took the flavour away and it's really bad.

There was another one Tesco used to sell in a yellow tub but I can't remember the make, that was tasty.

I bought a few others and will add my notes here, when I've sampled them.

**Update**

I kept the Soba tub and am now trying the Super noodles, chicken flavour. I don't recall sampling this before and it smells great.

For such a small packet, they pack a lot into it. It was 60p and I had to break it up into small pieces, apply the sauce, fill it with water and only cook it for 2 minutes firstly to break it down.

I'll let it dissolve and then maybe more water and another two minutes should suffice.

At one and a half minutes it was close to bubbling over, so I have just switched off the microwave and left it to set so that the water can evaporate.

I find usually there is water/sauce left at the end but it's better that the pasta is thoroughly cooked.

It doesn't ever taste watery though, which is the nice thing. Usually it has a hint of whatever seasoning they use in the packet :)

They also look different to how I imagined them, they aren't skinny noodles, they are quite dense.

Conclusion, certainly much tastier than Soba, careful you don't water down the flavour though.

Highly recommended to wave off the chill and fill you up.

**Update**

I tried out Batchelors chicken and mushroom pasta as I like the mushroom sauce but not the actual mushrooms themselves.

I didn't taste any mushroom bits, thank goodness and it smells like soup. Very appealing.

This seemed to cook really fast even with chunky pasta. The sauce was enough and after about 3 minutes..

I just left it to set. For me it's filling because my appetite is still weird, so I can happily snack rather than partake in a big meal.

I also tried out the Batchelors bacon mac n cheese because I was craving macaroni and that was the only version left.

Cooking it smells horrendous as I never cared for that pork scent.

It cooked fairly quickly after 3 minutes and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Probably just on the dry and salty side. It was alright but with a hint of bacon which I was hoping would be more non existent, it's my least favourite of the bunch.

**Update**

I have just tried the Mugshot Roast Chicken version and I thought that would be a high quality product but I hated it and binned it.

It was bland and didn't cook properly unlike the others. Soft and gloopy and had no taste whatsoever. I won't be buying it again, it was awful. Ick.

#BlogLife159 - I miss the girl who loved to shop.. Update

The really bad headphones I had finally snapped at the hinges and I saw a reasonable set in Argos but when I went there to purchase them, it was closed.

I don't know if it's now permanently shut. The opening hours indicated they should already be serving customers but a lot of places have gone bankrupt so I had to walk up and down the market searching.

I popped into Ryman's on the off chance they sold some and saw a few displayed. In the end I was too exhausted so just bought some which were more than I wanted to pay at £40.

The set at Argos was £30 :( It contains a fast charger, white shade, no black available. Boo!! It's called JBL-510-Tune-BT.

The version of bluetooth is 5.0. It has 40hrs battery life. It doesn't say whether it is stereo or not, so probably isn't. They advertised it with super bass but I don't hear anything different.

It's type C. Usb fast charging which I didn't realise until I kept trying to jam in the lead and then saw the usb it came with and thought oops........

Good job I already have the plug for my Samsung charger anyway, so I just put it in and presto, not sure how long it will take or if it is part charged but we'll see.

Just checked in on it and it took an hour and then the red light came off, so it was practically charged maybe?

They are really comfy to wear so far and fit snuggly. The shade is hideously bright to me but I prefer darker colours so that is just my preference.

Pairing was easy. Ooh I have to check if it can pair multiple devices. I had issues trying to pair it with my samsung device but I switched off the headset and restarted it and then it easily showed up and paired with both the laptop and phone.

I didn't feel wrecked today but very exhausted. I popped in to a few places. Peacocks for one a clothing store simply because I missed browsing.

I really loved just wandering in to clothes shops and seeing what styles were available. It's still extremely difficult if you are like me, above a size 18 to find anything but it was still enjoyable.

Then I picked up this Himalaya branded tangerine face wash for combination skin. I'll add a review with more details when I start to use it but I'm too drained to move right now.

Oh I also picked up some international wotsits lol. There is a.. I'm not even going to guess...New supermarket so I just thought let me try these and Milka nutty cookies.

I'll let you know how they fair also in my foodie standards :D I really want to nap but the sleepiness has evaporated :(

I have just tried the Milka nutty cookies. They are very fresh and crunchy and thick which is a plus. However they have an unusual taste.

Almost as if it is white chocolate or coconutty. I don't think the nut in question is hazelnut sadly. I think maybe it is macadamia. Hmm I can't read the fine print.

Google says it's hazelnuts but there is a sweet taste that doesn't belong. It's not unpleasant, it's just not appealing to me. It's not bad.

I just wouldn't buy it again.

**Update**

I tried out a call with the headphones and at first the listener was saying Hmm, it doesn't sound great and then he said Ohh actually this is alright, it's clear.

I don't have to have my private calls on loudspeaker anymore, yay. Hopefully this time next year I will have my new phone, something with a long lasting battery, ability to multi task, no lag, clear voice clarity and not heavy to hold......

I am just not sure which one to pick, BT doesn't seem to have many choices anymore. I saw 4 on the website which is pitiful :(

#BlogLife118 - Nutella novella

Once upon an era, a long long long longggg time ago. Nutella came out in the stores and everyone was crazy for it. I mean who doesn't adore chocolate?

Then you improve it by adding nuts? Lusciousness in a bottle or jar. I was a peanut butter addict so that and cheese toasties were my main craving, aside from the occasional chicken sandwich.

I looked at the price tag and thought nope, not yet maybe when it is on special offer and then promptly forgot all about it, until I spotted it at someone's home and helped myself to a sandwich.

With their permission of course, I'm not a savage. I don't go breaking into someone's abode and steal their fridge supplies. What kind of uncivilised thief do you take me for??

Anyway, I was really looking forward to it but slightly nervous that it would not live up to the hype, what if the ratio was wrong and it was sickly sweet?

I took a bite and then wanted to vomit. I probably spit it out and wanted to rinse my mouth out. The jar of Nutella had gone off. It was badddddd.

I have never been so disgusted in my life. As though chocolate and nuts had betrayed me and weren't my besties anymore :( It was a sad sad day.

That was back when I was younger and I never touched a Nutella jar since... Until recently. I have gone off peanut butter and needed a sweet fix.

I spotted the Nutella and took a deep breath and thought, alright decades have passed. I feel brave enough to try it for the second time.

I tentatively scooped a bit out and thought, I can do this, be brave girl. The scent wafted up my nostrils and I felt lightheaded and then I tasted it.......

Holy moly it was like a ground up wholenut bar. Creamy, sweet and delicious. I scooped up some more and then stuck it in the fridge.

(It is a lot harder to scoop when it's solid).

#BlogLife63 - Sensitive skin?

A few moments ago I had sticky fingers. Now before you call the nearest law enforcement and have me arrested for being a kleptomaniac (thief)...... Let me just explain.

The bakery/cafe I was praising a while back on their bakewell tart, which should be renamed bakewell bun..Well I was completely, hormonally, couldn't-help-myself-the-force-was-too-much, drawn to them again.

This time I just had to pick something else and see if it was a fluke. My scepticism is what you like about me, right? lol

I got the chicken and vegetable wrap that was so tender and packed, it was truly delicious. It was drizzled with a garlic mayonnaise sauce that complimented it beautifully.

Then I shoved the cake in the fridge because I am not a fan of warm overly soft cake without texture. Then I pulled it out and oh my.

Is it wrong to propose to someone you have never met before? Whoever keeps making these cakes is supremely talented.

It had sprinkles, moist buttercream and it felt like a splash of alcohol but not enough to put me off. When I tried it, the thought of baileys cheesecake came to mind.

It just had that sort of richness to it. I would plug the place but it is local to me so I had better not.

I can't believe my protein tablets have already arrived for my contact lenses. I ordered them on Tuesday which I guess is enough time.

They cost an extortionate amount just under £20 but that was for a two year supply 48 tablets. It was the cheapest price that I found.

I'm taking half and giving the rest to my mama mia. I was fed up with waiting for the Ayumi face wash so I have ordered a Biore face wash instead.

I think I have tried biore products once. I have a feeling I got a free sample for a cream maybe. I think I liked it but not enough to repurchase it.

I am just trying different brands as my skin tends to get used to something and stop reaping the benefits. I do favour something with a pretty scent.

I will have to do a patch test first as so many people complained of allergic reactions. I am not exactly sure if I have sensitive skin or not.

I rarely have reactions. I think it is just when a brand is too cheap, the quality ingredients are so basic that it harms my skin.

Actually I think my main issue is around my eyes because I wear contact lenses and they already delicate so I did notice something.

It wasn't a rash or a breakout. I think my eyes were watering and slightly burning so when that happens, I switch brands but that was a long time ago and I have been fine ever since :)

That is why I opt for brand names, not the most expensive. I am too cheap for that but something established at least.

Keep your fingers crossed that this version actually arrives in the post and that the postie doesn't run off with it and then return saying smell me.

Am I gorgeous or what? I would not put it past them!

#BlogLife57 - The supermarket's addiction to pork

Why do supermarkets feel the need to add pork to every meal that didn't previously contain it? I am not a vegan or vegetarian and actively avoid most products that contain pork in them.

I do not like the smell or taste of it. There are chicken and vegetarian options that are handy for quick meals but as soon as I blink they are quickly removed and suddenly there is a pork element added to it.

We don't all have the obsession with it that you supermarkets do. Grrr it is so irritating to enjoy a brand and look forward to purchasing it again only to find it has been replaced with meat or pork!!!

Yes there are vegan and vegetarian options but the replacement stuff for some of these are cheap nasty copies of the high quality original.

Iceland had this delicious moreish macaroni cheese with a breadcrumb coating only to then remove it and replace it with... You guessed it pork meatballs. Yuckity!

That is just one example but there are too many to count. Here is my compromise. If you clearly insist on adding meat or pork to a perfect dish.

Have two variations. Create something for meat lovers with the addition of pork and for everyone else, just leave it untampered without meat.

That way everyone is happy!

#BlogLife39 - Can a foodie hate food?

Afternoony sweetpeas,

I've been unable to think straight because I am so exhausted. My aim today was to write BlogLife and compose Chapter 9 of Lethal Curves Ahead.

I've only been getting a few hours sleep which for a regular person isn't enough so for me it's ten times worse. Luckily at least my body feels rested.

No more stiffness. I feel more looser and less strained so that is something because yesterday I was a bit of a mess but I didn't want it to get me down and spoil my mood.

I was going to call this post, Are you a chocolate lover? However it sounded a bit sleazy so I thought, maybe not.. I was watching one of my favourite asmr artists and he was apologising for mentioning food so much.

I thought I do that. I think and talk about food and I do consider myself a foodie, although there are times when I hate it and wish I didn't need to consume it.

I only recall one or two people pointing out that, I mostly focus on meal times or snacking subjects and they saw that negatively.

At first I felt super self conscious and then I shrugged and figured. You know what, it's a big part of who I am. I never considered it was a serious problem because to me it would have been uncontrollable.

I could always go back to eating after I stopped. However I did a bunch of messed up things like obsessively exercising, calorie counting, skipping meals and just weighing myself nonstop.

Now I have a love/hate/love relationship with food. Today I've been munching on some chocolate pretzels, they are so moreish.

Mama got me these cream and onion soy chips. They remind me of Skips crisps without the prawn cocktail flavour. When I had the first bite, I wasn't quite sure I enjoyed it.

Upon further taste. It's really good. I just don't know if that is right the flavour or if it needs some sort of dip to go with it. It's crunchy and would make a filling snack though.

Something I thought I would address is why I stopped asking questions and broadened out BlogLife to include more general subjects.

I felt like I was talking to myself and the questions and answers seemed almost too goofy even for me. As no-one felt the need to answer them, which is your right :)

I no longer feel compelled to come up with them. I thought it would have been a quirky way to get a conversation started but it didn't happen but I'm glad I tried it.

I will periodically still touch on writing and blogging but essentially I am BlogLife. This is my experience so I should be able to discuss anything.
